Quote SaintsFan="SaintsFan"unfortunately Salford fans, like Hull fans (and previously Warrington fans although not so in recent years), have a reputation for trouble which preceeds them, whether or not there was actually any trouble on Friday night.'"
You are, of course, joking, aren't you?
Quote SaintsFan="SaintsFan"As an away fan it is poor form, not to mention stupid, to wind up the home support, especially on their stadium's opening night! So if those you know who were thrown out tried to do that then IMO it is always going to be the away fans who get the treatment. That would be the same if it was Saints fans winding up Salford fans at Salford.'"
Give over. Winding up opposition supporters is part of what goes on at a sporting event. I've always enjoyed the fact that, at RL, you can give each other stick with no need for any police or stewarding intervention and then end up in the pub afterwards having a drink together. The same happened on Friday - aside from the dibble and stewards deciding to act like it was a football match. We'll be getting locked in after the final whistle, next.
