When I got my tickets for the Leigh game from the Stadium I asked about Season Tickets for the Car Park and was told lots of people had asked and the issue would be discussed at the next meeting of the Stadium Management Group.

Quote: Fungus The Muffin Man "I have just had a reply from the customerservices@ticketline and there are no car park season tickets for the stadium.
It's all on a match by match basis.'"
That doesn't make any sense at all. It must surely be in their best interests to have the £65 up front rather than having to pre-book 13 times over several months! That's' ludicrous it just makes things more difficult and inconvenient for the supporters (Customer)
Your forgetting the 13x booking fee's they'll miss out on
I can't imagine the corporates/sponsors being too chuffed about having to pre-book parking when they have spent a few grand on a hospitality package can you? If the hospitality includes parking then I'd imagine that season ticket holders would feel extremely discriminated against if plenty spaces are available and fans want a buy a season parking pass .
Surely it's in the Stadium Managements best financial interests that Salford attract as many supporters as possible to Barton. Blatent profiteering (13 x booking fees) and inconveniencing fans will only deter people from coming.
I think common sense will prevail when they put their thinking caps on.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg
I called down today, was surprised to say the least that the ticket office wasnt open
That big stand does look sexy, much nicer than the LSV, still a lot of work going on though, the reception ' leccy ' doors didnt like the windy weather either
not taking sides but reading all these many threads on car parking Just like to point out Planning permission constaints foot, bicycle or public transport.
'"
It's in the outline planning that the Stadium have to manage the site to encourage arrival other than Car parking.
Quote: "5.3.2 Park & RideThe proposed transport strategy seeks to reduce the
demand for car travel by introducing attractive alternative
modes of travel and reducing the length of car trips. Part of
the approach proposes a remote park and ride strategy for
stadium match days, located so that the majority of some
spectator’s journeys can be by the shuttle buss connections'"
it's in the planning permission that they have to encourage off site park & Rides, and they have sorted park & rides from the Willows & the Trafford Centre at nominal costs
For Michigan Red !
Quote: "A minimum of 100 cycle stands will be shared
between both stadium and retail developments.
Cycle racks have principally been located at the key use
entrances around the stadium at concourse level.'"
it's in the Outline Masterplan we need to remind them of this !
They have additional leeway other than the existing 600 spaces for additional parking albeit hardcore or permiable paving sited near the retail site, I believe this will happen in time for the early part of the SL season
Quote: "Car parking requirements of 1000 stadium and 972
retail result in potentially large areas of hardstanding'"
of the newer RL stadiums not many have an abudance of Car parking available. I think Leigh's ^ DW Stadium are the exception.
