How can someone hold a position like Simms does without being given the sack after 10 years of mis-management and constant failings on the field? If we do indeed need to keep his role within the club why has no-one else being appointed to take his job or do the club think our recruitment/contract dealings etc have been excellently done over the time he has been in the club (Phil Bailey saga being still fresh in the memory to name but one instance of Simms gold)? What is Simms actually measured on when he is appraised within his job? Parishgate is irrelevant when questioning Simms role at the club in general though I am guessing he had a say in the appointment so maybe it is relevant
For what its worth I thought Parish was a poor appointment when I personally thought a tried and tested SL coach would have been the way forward (a Kear or a Morgan - Noble apparently didn't want it but he would have been my No.1 choice - not great names but we aren't a great club currently)
The club had the chance to have a clearout and begin life in the new ground with a clean slate and fresh ambition - that time has passed and we as a club are in a mess and it really shouldn't be like this - we should be looking forward immensely to the new ground and the future but alot of people judging by this forum and other Reds I've spoke to do not feel that way at all
