Just listened to Simms interview on the radio. Says he is shocked and did not know anything about it. He said the same regarding Sean Long the other week. Does he know anything?

The whole sorry saga, end of season missed opportunities for marketing the club! It is us fans who bear the brunt of being the laughing stock yet again.
I feel sorry for the tax payers of Salford, as Salford council have made the stadium happen by investing in the project with Peel holdings, Salford don't even own the stadium, this club continues to be run like a corner shop.

When are the board going to take responsibility, It is the board who appointed Parish, it is the board who appointed McRae, it is the board who appointed Alker, it is the board who appointed Simms. Grow some balls, sort this out and accept some responsibility.
I have purchased my season ticket, I only wish I could have waited as this is the only affective protect the board might listen too.

Clearly people in shock do and say strange things. I've only just come in from work to hear the news and I'm amazed at the reaction in some posts from 'Goodbye Salford' to lets try to get the new stadium safety licence stopped!
Maybe thirty years of watching Salford and a family history of being Salford fans for 60 years has meant that I can't be shocked any more but time to take a deep breath and calm down everyone.

No doubt a tale will emerge as to what has been going on but chances are it will describe one side of the story and depending on each fan's individual stance it will be believed or ridiculed.The fact is that Parish has gone and the short history of his tenure is nothing to judge him on either positively or negatively.

Protesting in order to stop the new stadium getting its licence is like cutting your head off to cure a headache.

Yes we need to learn from this
Yes we need to know why these things happen
Yes we need to vent our shock and, in some cases, our anger
but most of us will be there next season, moaning or cheering as is our want (and our right) and before we jump to the usual conclusion (everyone must go!) lets get the full picture and anyway according to tonight's Advertiser Parish thinks we have "one of the finest back room staffs in Super League"!
