| We had over 10,000 at the last game and I would suggest that decent offers frown around on that last day would have captured some back.
I am a season ticket holder this year and have heard hire no hair, very poor marketing by the club with a bright shiney new stadium to promote.
Would hope that maybe going forward the council look at helping with this as surely it is in thier best interests to see the ground as full as possible, do they get a cut of the takings from the consessions?
Are we still having a tie in with Rock Radio next season? would be ideal if they were for spreading the word more than in previous seasons.

| Quote: Rooted Red "The Club have mine and many other fans e-mail details due to various ticket applications and responses to various promotions. NO, I haven't received any information about interest in buying a season ticket and unfortunately, that's about what I've come to expect. Our Club are rank amateurs when it comes to effectively marketing our 'product'. It seems all our Marketing Team are exceptionally good at is handing out 'freebies' of one form or another.
If it is true about holding back for an October launch, well that is ridiculous. Why not have money in the Bank now?
If anyone from the Club reads these pages, (Doubtful).
1. Please mail all contacts now with information about tickets.
2. Make a 'Headline' signing and generate some interest and OPTIMISM for the season ahead.
3. Generate some decent publicity, not in in Manchester/Salford but throughout the wider area.
4. Target the first game to capture interest from the many who will be attending for the first time or after a period of 'staying away'
5. Offer multi-game tickets (pack of three games) for those who cannot commit to season tickets
6. Fully utilise our partnerships with Peel/Media City (Some decent Marketing advice may be a start!)
Well.............you get the idea. There's so much more the Club can and should be doing and most long term members of this forum are only to aware of it. It's a pity that the 'Powers that be in the Club' are still fencing in the dark.
Next year in particular and the following two years will make or break us as a Club. Is no-one at our Club capable of translating flowery words into some concrete action?
We've got someone, (Matt Parish) who is all fired up on the pitch, it's about time we had some fire in the belly amongst those who are responsibe off the pitch.
Rant over!'"
This is something I've advocated before, Salford/Manchester Uni has a strong media studies department and with the arrival of media city we should be looking at utilising the promising young students to help market our product. Think most students would love to have something like that on their CV.

| The multi game idea is a good one, I see Warrington do that, pack of 7 fixtures I think.. Also the community outside Manchester/Salford, there are people in the Cheshire area who in reality are closer to Salford than they are to Warrington, like myself, I choose to support Salford for that reason.. plus I hate Warrington... but hey..
This new Stadium should be hammered home to the fans to raise excitement, when was the last time we saw any decent pictures of the Stadium, look at the Saints website they are really laying it on thick to raise excitement for there new ground.

icons1949_files/4193-180guyguyme2003-msnicons.gif The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..

Don't waste your breath fella your flogging a dead horse. I went to renew my season ticket for the season just gone and they had no details on file for me, and yes I've had one for years.
Safe to say I'm still waiting to receive my five year, or for that matter any literature regarding me parting with my hard earned. On the plus side though I do get text messages pre game telling me it's 2 quid cheaper if I book in advance.
Ow yes and the tone of your post may upset some on here, please try to be more positive towards the club in future..

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

I'm exactly the same; ST holder for about 18 years, never had any info sent out to get the 2011 ST, went into the shop to ask why and buy one, they said my details weren't on record. Gave them my details and asked that they send me any similar literature in future.
Never received anything about the 5yr deal at the new gaff, never received anything about next season's STs at all, but still get a pointless text message the Thursday before every home game?!
Can't believe that no-one at the club thought to use the last game at The Willows as a launch-pad for ST sales in the new ground, or at least to collect 10,000 fans' contact details?!
The alledged excuse about creating a splash in October is utter tosh, as is the "news" that STs are selling well; we won't have shifted more than a couple of hundred at most (and probably not that many).
