Maybe a lesson for the club in ticket pricing today. At £10 advance it obviously swayed a lot of people.

However, ultimately it is what happens on the pitch and today showed we are still someway short. However, we hung in and at 24-18 we had a chance but after Patten's knock on we never got the ball back again.

All told though it was a bit of an anti-climax. The long and much hyped build up led to everyone, players and fans being a bit flat come the day and the entertainment other than the legends walk round was very poor and flat.

On the plus side, Danny Williams was absolutely superb today! Mom by a mile! If we can get enough ball out wide next year we have 2 top quality finishers to do the rest!!

dont blame the 7-8000 newbies or oldies at the willows one bit if they dont show up at barton next season....they were prob thinking to themselves"this is why i havent been to watch salford for a while !!" terrible terrible performance....so many players in our squad are simply not good enough for super league !!

Why is it decent players come here and perform like that? Holdsworth and Patten can't have played like that in Australia, they would never have got a 1st team place.

I pin my hopes on the coach, but it's going to take some serious changes behind the scenes to turn things around.
I was gutted about today, been going for over 30 years, seen more bad than good, but felt let down by a group of players who are probably paid more than any previous Salford team.

Still, i'm sure they will enjoy their Mad Monday.

If this club is going to go anywhere they need a lot of changes for 1 get rid of simms till club does we won't go any where. As for free tickets they did give adults free entry to a lot of familys one of stewards there was quit a lot of tickets given out for free. As for are so called fans if they all came to support this club and you you say there all. Die hard supporters why aint they come all season. I know 40 people that I spoke to in bar and near us in ground got tickets through rock radio. And someone tell me how are performances on the field won't affect the gate because no one in the right mind will pay £200 pound season ticket to watch the crap rugby we have played all season. I have had season ticket for years and won't be renewing mine there going to get more expensive in new stadium and watching that today as made me now decieded not to renew and just go the occational game. We are one of the most expensive season ticket in the league to watch a team that as average at least 50 points conceded per match. How iss this going to atract fans. As those who turned up today aint loyal or they would come every week. And your telling us know freebies were given out the crowd would have been small if they add not give them out.

Jeez quit about the freebies!! The main positive about today was the turn out, if we can get 10k home fans for this game no reason why we cant start filling barton IF we get the on field prouct. Find it difficult to beleiev u went round n spoke to 40 fans n asked where they all got tix from? Give it a break.

I'll be there next season, and some how managed to persuade 2 other previous non season ticket holders to join me. And im pretty sure im in my right mind.
