32990_1435324474.jpgFirst accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32990.jpg
Cashmere will be 32 next January and despite him giving his all I can understand the club looking for a younger, cheaper replacement if Ray is now looking for a bigger contract.
Personally I can't see how Cashmere at 32 can be worth more than he was 3 years ago. (At the peak of his career and playing at a much higher level in the NRL) It seems to me that's he's only prepared to stay if there is more money in it and I question if that's the right motive. I just hope we can find a decent replacement if he does leave. Cashmere does give our pack some size presence and offloading ability and I hope he will be replaced with someone of similar stature. Perhaps Matt Parish will know of a suitable replacement?
Like Sir Alex always says, there is no room for sentiment in sport.
