Just finished reading Don Whillans (a hero of mine) biography ( the villan by jim perrin). A great mountineer and climber from salford. With a big reputation as a hard fighter(lost out on an MBE because he punched a copper).Loved to have seen him in a number 9 shirt for solly.so the question is does anyone know of any other non rugby playing salfordian that they'd have liked to have seen wearing the shirt?
