| *gets on the soapbox*
The best thing about several of these posts is the acknowledgement of the important part us fans must play in the move to Barton. We need to give it our full support, to the players, to the coaches, and to those working in the background. It is us fans that have to show ourselves to be Salford's No1 asset; the singing, supporting, laughing and having fun that makes the shed a great place to be must be transfered to the new stadium. A large part of salford's success in barton is down to the fans and the atmosphere that we create.

Your right, it has turned in to a SS free for all.
So back on topic, I too belive that the move to the new stadium will be make or break for salford as a club, our fan base has to increase by several thousand almost imeadiately, but fear this season has damaged our club with fans not turning up in there hundreds, im one of those fans that have lost heart amongst others, and have only attended a handfull of games this season.
I belive our club is on the up now with new stadium and new coach, and will be getting my season ticket for next year, in the hope that we can become a great club once again

| Quote: Jim Jalfrezi "I know this may seem a bit "Doom and Gloom" .... but I wondered what people's opinions are regarding the club's immediate and long term future.
I was talking with CCNo1Fan on Sunday and whilst our opinions varied on certain matters, we seemed to agree on the followingThe move to Barton HAS to be an immediate success
If the move to Barton is to be a success, everyone involved with the club in whatever capacity will have to work together without any of the back biting and mudslinging that we have had on here of late.
The playing squad MUST be ultra competitive from the word go
An obvious requirement that should have been happening now, which we have only seen on half a dozen occasions this season.
The club MUST pull out all the stops to attract (and retain) new supporters to the new stadium
Agreed 100% and the fans should also do their bit as well by keeping their criticism's constructive and by also giving new fans reasons for them to return
The new coach MUST be given total control of the playing side, and given every ounce of support from both the Directors and fans alike
Agreed 100%.
The undercurrent of 'player power' within the club HAS to end Now
I would add that any player who criticizes the club on any social network site should not be made welcome at the club, either they are up front with the club/fans or they are out.
The coaching staff MUST instil into the players the ideology that playing for Salford is a privilege and that wearing the club shirt is an honour not just a 'means to an end'
I am certain that the new coach will carry this out 100% If all the playing staff put in half as much as the Chairman and Directors put in we would be ok.

| A very good post, I have said before now,the move to the new stadium is are last chance saloon.I have been to meetings
like a lot of other people,at the said meetings the club have said people will see the new stadium, from the bridge and say
we will have to go and see this.If this is what they still think, they are in the clouds,at the end of this season,we have
got to start shopping at Tesco and not the market. We have got to it the ground running,if not we will have less than now.And the council will have a white Elephant.

You did and there was a lot of very good points made on the first page.
There is no doubt that enthusiasm for the club is low at the moment. Simply relying on a new stadium to double our gates is not realistic. Today the performance was outstanding but im not convinced it will have a huge impact on out attendances. We need momentum to take into the new stadium. I cannot fault the close season recruitment in terms of money spent but unfortunately it was not wisely used. I believe we need to offer incentives for the final game at the Willows ie tickets for a tenner, plus a season ticket offer for next year. £100 adult season tickets and try and sell 5,000 plus, have it all over the advertiser and evening news.
