| Who ever ends up coaching Salford will not make a lick of difference. Even if they get hold of somebody like Wayne Bennett they will still be the laughing stock of rugby league!

| Quote RedTez="RedTez"I couldn't agree more with this tbh. The Skype suggestion moust've been some sort of wind up. I stated earlier that this isn't only Salford appointing the right coach, it's about us convincing the coach that we are the club to come to. You can't do that over the phone. You have to make the effort to go and sell Salford to your desired candidate. This is as much an interview for the Salford board to the new coach as it is the coach to Salford.'"
Spot on. I also think it's extremely important the club do some work out there asking the right questions to as many of the NRL people as possible about these applicants.

Surely tonight was the final nail in his coffin-not even got a new coach bounce from him-maybe a gd no. 2 for a new Aussie though-the shambles has to stop we need a new coach now!!!!

| The club said its looking for a big name but as always leave it to Steve simms if this is the case we have no chance getting a decent coach. But I can't see us attracting Ricky Stewart so we are stuck I feel with another average coach and get feeling it will be millword. It is a good dream for Ricky Stewart but that's all. I feel we need to get rid of simms or club is doomed

| Im not convinced Ricky Stuart is the answer and could we afford his wages? I like the idea of recruiting someone who is currently an assistant coach in the NRL. This is a very important decision in the clubs history. We replaced a very good coach (KH) with a very average coach (SM). Now we need another very good coach!

| I'd rather have Phil Veivers than Ricky Stuart, don't rate the bloke at all.
