I was going to comment on how good the main stand looks, but seeing as our fantastic town centre stadium is being slagged off, I'll just say that the small stand looks stupid, like Crewe Alex's or Accrington Stanley's.
At least our cardboard box will be full.'"
Can I take this opportunity on behalf of all true wire, and rugby league fans to apologise for the idiotic post above.
As a club, your going forward, this is what counts!

Well said mate, I think we'd all prefer new stadiums to instantly have character but they don't. Salfords ground will be state of the art, next to an enormous shopping centre (i for one will be saying to the mrs, you go shopping, im going to the rugby) and just off a major motorway junction.
Good luck to Salford, I hope they really succeed in their new stadium. As for crowds I reckon you'll average over 8k next year. Boost in season tickets and away fans will be curious as well as the new ground bringing optimism for your club.

| I didn't quite realise the scale of the main stand till I just spoptted that you can see it from along the canaql near the swing bridge.
It did make me realise what many have said in that there should be signs plastered all over the site about it being not only Salfords new home but also that it is the community stadium for Salford as a whole.
does anyone know if there is a way to walk from the Weatherspoons at the Chill Factore? that would be a brilliant place to maybe go pre game.

You've answered your own question mate? That is the final stage 3, if we reach that phase the stadium will have a capacity of 20000. Were currently only at stage 1 if the crowds rise we will hopefully reach 3 phase.

They will have, as they would have another 8000 capacity added to them. The stadium will open next year as a 12000 seater hopefully it will reach its 20000 capacity in the future.

That link tells me absolutely nothing Iain , we were told that the LSV would be a community stadium , it is providing you can afford to pay to use it , we all hoped that junior cup finals and the like would be staged there , but that only happens if you can afford to pay a couple of grand to pay the costs to open the thing , similarly with the entertainment facilities , they will be top dollar
Where do the forever reds have their meetings at the moment ? When you ask to have a meeting or event at Barton , you will have to pay the going rate , both for the venue and the food/ drinks

But surely the floodlights will be of the same standard wether it's 12,000 or 20,000 capacity ?
