32990_1435324474.jpg First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32990.jpg |

| Very enlightening, 2 + 2 is now adding up to 4 after some head scratching before I read this thread. I don't think he was sent home with the hiccups as stated on the BBC Sport website!

| Having been around malc off the field he is a tool sometimes and when playing didn't always behave and do what professional sportsman should do! He's probably carried on with the same behaviour and antics as a coach when he should be leading by example!

| isn't is wierd that you think you can judge someone by the way they play their rugby?
As a player, Malc was all about commitment, during his best years, his defence was sensational, and he was a credit to the game.
I always though that in order to play that way, he would be a dedicated professional.
Years ago ( whilst waiting for a take away) i heard an assistant coach applauding his work ethic, saying they had just come back from Florida, and even on their day off, when players didn't have to train, Malc was still on the running machine.
Now i'm hearing stuff I don't want to hear. It's usually the "flair" players that self destruct, but Malc seems to be on a slippery slope.
Perhaps whilst playing he could keep his vices in check, but now.............

| There have always been stories about Alkers actions when out and about but think most people tended for turn a blind eye to them, now he holds/held a position of seniority at the club they can't just simply be ignored.
I have no doubt in my mind that Alker will go on to become a very sucsessful coach but I doubt it will be a head coach and doubt even more it will be with Salford.
Good luck to him if he's done at Salford as he was a terrifcally loyal servant but think for the club and his sake a parting of the ways now would be perfect as the fans can then continue ot hold him in the highest regaurd.
Do though seriously think Wilky needs to opt for the new broom and start a freash next season with a complete new coaching set up, undecided about Simms as can see his worth but maybe if a decent coach is brought in Simms will be surplus to requirements or his wages used to bring in someone with real clout.
