| We were poor tonight against an equally poor Crusaders team. If the performance wasn't bad enough we then had to endure that from Wire with his drum!!! I'm just gutted that we seemed to have turned the corner then just took two massive backward steps.
The first half was dire but we got ourselves into a winning position after the break but still managed to fook it up. So deflated that only the Strongbow can ease the pain!

You're not the first team to have a hangup with a particular opposition. Warrington's with us lasted 10 years!
I'm sure you'll bounce back next week.

| Got what we deserved...bugger all. Are we some kind of charity project for Welsh RL. Crusaders again deserved to win. Perhaps we have fell for the hype of the last two weeks and turned up expecting to win. Wake up call guys..you have to respect every team you play. Lazy defence, poor use of posession and a lack of leadership proved costly tonight. Thought Wild had a good game tonight though.

| How is it we just turn up to some games & don't bother tackling - time & again we seemed to have two tacklers, both going high, not stopping the man and then letting them offload?
I have great admiration for Dan Holdsworth's skills as a player, but he's no captain - for me, the organiser on the field who should be captain is Matty Smith.
Can't agree with earlier post re Cashmere, I thought his first spell in the first half was pedestrian
No imigaination, no cutting edge tonight - soething like 30 tackles oin their half with one player sin binned and we still can't score - POOR
All in all - what a disappointment tonight

| Not exactly a big draw for the paying spectators either .
Watched most of it on Sky , and the Crusaders were the better of the two teams.

Can't see Salford paying out the rest of Basil's contract and as a result having to pay off McRae, can you?
As for the game tonight, I thought Salford had more than enough ball to win it, despite the below-par performance. The amount of times that you had an overlap down your left wing but instead insisted on going right from dummy half was criminal. After some of Ratchford's performances in recent weeks I felt sorry for the lad being marooned at centre, and his inexperience in that situation was shown when he threw an early ball to Broughton when attacking two-on-one instead of drawing the man and putting Broughton in at the corner.
Cashmere had a decent game but Sammut had a touch of class that you couldn't see coming from Salford, and Crusaders' number 11 (Hep Cahill?) worked his nads off all night.

| Well you might be wrong on two counts there - think Basil would have the good sense to have a clause put in his contract `that if a Super league club etc ...........` & the other thing is that Mr McRae may become the highest paid gardener since Charlie Dimmock. Dont forget also that Wilkie is now a Doctor as well so he may be able to sign Shaun off for another couple of months.

| The whisper is that Basil is more likely to be heading for Widnes anyway. Theoretically a bigger chequebook thanks to O'Connor. If he was going to go to Salford then I'd have thought it would have happened when McRae was on the ropes last season.
