I didn't say that, I agreed that there were much better places to stay on the Costa Brava but if the coach is being arranged from that departure point there is no reason to stay anywhere else. Also what you have to bear in mind is Salford play Catalan well out of season (end of March) so Lloret is nothing like it is in the middle of summer, whilst there are still plenty of things to do day and night.
The only images of Perpignan I ever get and I've been every time Salford have played there (apart from the challenge cup game of which I had booked and paid to go but a certain ash cloud forbid me to travel) 5 times in all, are of dog s[ih[/iit ladened streets of which I'd certainly swap for Lloret any day of the week.
