Salford City fell to a disappointing 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Bamber Bridge this afternoon. A spectacular goal from Tommy Turner had given the Ammies a first half lead but defensive frailties and a strangely muted second half performance saw the visitors grab two goals and all three points.
It's back to league action this Wednesday 16th February, kick off 7;45pm with the eagerly awaited trip to Trafford's Shawe View ground.
To gutted/depressed to post after Salford City's 2-1 defeat at Trafford last night. Played well in patches, had two shots cleared off the line and Steve Foster missed a penalty and an open goal at the death which would have given us a point. That's 5 single goal margin defeats in the last 7 games which in my opinion have to all intents and purposes ended our play off hopes.
This coming Saturday it's next to bottom side Ossett Albion at home and hopefully a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.
Salford City returned to winning ways at Moor Lane this afternoon win a 1-0 win over struggling Ossett Albion courtesy of a late Steve Foster penalty. The final scoreline failed to underline the Ammies overall superiority over relatively poor opposition but justice was eventually seen to be done. Next up is another home game this coming Tuesday, 22nd February, ko 7:45 pm when Warrington Town are the visitors.
