Totally agree with this he looks lost everytime he refs. Really poor decisions for both teams seems to buckle under pressure situations too. The touch judges are not much better neither

For me he was the same for both teams, he could have pinged us several times for sidlow standing in a offside position but didnt, and a few forward passes by us went under the radar.

Fair play to wigan, if you can suck a few penalties from a weak referee more power to your elbow thats what i say.

Its all about being clever and "buying" the penalty to clear your lines or set up an attack.

True - there were a couple of times when we milked our own. I recall Phil pretty much holding onto the leg of a defender and getting the penalty for interference at the PTB.

It's pretty cheap but the sooner we wise up to the tactics employed around the league and try and use them in our favour while trying to avoid conceding the same penalties, the more we'll benefit.
