We are not all rate payers first and supporters second. believe it or not some supporters live outside Salford. I happy to live in Salford (well, Swinton - does that count??
) and am happy that the Council is at long last supporting the club. I also welcome the funding of the lowry, the orchestra and innumerable grassroots arts and sports organisations because I believe a vibrant cultural and sporting life is an essential ingredient of city life. The funding should also create jobs and attract people to live in the area
I know from reading the advertiser and the Lib Dem leaflets that come through my door I should think that all the council should worry about is fixing pot holes but what a depressing and dull world that would be
