Eccles currently have afew players playing who have played 1st team at Pro clubs.
John Mcatee (Saints), Neil Mcpherson (Salford), Antony Murray (Leigh, Barrow, and about 10 other clubs!!), Chris Irwin (Wigan), Ben Williamson Swinton).
Also players still at Pro clubs that have played at Eccles. Lewis Palfry (Salford), Paul Raff (Rochdale), Barry Hamilton (Swinton), Saqib Murtza (Batley), Ian Watson & Paul Smith (Swinton player coaches). And Kallum Watkins (Leeds) used for play at Salford Juniors (aswell as 1 or 2 other Salford clubs).
Carl could have definately gone pro, believe he was offered a 1yr deal with Leigh which he turned down - then again, playing for GB amatuers around the world was surely compensation.
