I have a work collegue who lives in Manchester and his son is playing a game of Rugby tomorrow morning. Does anybody know any local shops that supply kids forearm guards? He's tried all the JJB's in Manchester and no luck.

Oh, and which amateur club would you recommend his son to join? He's nine...I'm presuming Folly Lane, Eccles, Langworthy?

They are available but are banned until they player reaches u15s, this is in North west counties leagues anyway.

Cadishead Rhinos are currently building a youth setup and the moment and have just completed their first under 15's season. Next season there will be an under 15's and under 16's side. The good thing is... with most the lads being reasonably new to the game they are all learning together without huge expectations.... but it's fair to say that they are getting better every week and have been winning league matches against far more established teams.... would be a great place to start playing.

The club encourage kids of all ages to come to training sessions and get involved.
