Quote Red Willow="Red Willow"Why would Patten take out a second Winding Up Petition? he would simply amend the existing one if the debt had increased
Then consider that there is a requirement to check if a petition exists before you can present any new petition.

FORMER Salford City Reds player Luke Patten has lodged a winding-up petition against the club.
Mr Patten had already attached himself to another petition, filed by the management consultant Steuer Gregsson in October, along with another former player, Vinnie Anderson.
The club has already reached an agreement with Steuer Gregsson and last month it said the dispute with the players was linked to payments owed by the end of November which, "will be made on time and in advance of the second court date" on January 7.
Mr Patten's lawyers lodged the new petition on December 14 and it is due to be heard on January 7. It is not clear if this confirms his original desire to chase the debt, or indicates he was not paid by the November deadline. Mr Anderson does not appear to have lodged his own petition.
Both the club and Mr Patten's law firm, Leeds-based FrontRow Legal, could not be reached for comment.
