How were the 3 aussie teams eecided? South sydney won nrl, so thats ok. However brisbane & st georges were not in top 3 or reached grand final.

It said on Boots n all that other Australian sides have put themselves forward for the concept in 2016.

Think I've read somewhere that it's been confirmed that the top 3 teams from both leagues will qualify for next year, which is definitely a step in the right direction in terms of credibility.

This is definitely what needs to happen, it gives teams something to work towards in the season and means that teams may have more of an incentive to finish highly rather than just aiming for top 8.

I agree with what you are saying but teams should be striving for top 3 anyway seeing as its only top 4 in the playoffs from this season.

You get nothing for scraping in the 8 now apart from assuring SL safety, which is how it should be.But i agree, it is a deserved extra bonus for finishing in the play off postitions.
