| So where is the guy who was on here last week predicting an 80 point margin of victory for Jamaica?
I suppose he will blame the weather.
It really looks as if not selecting players with NRL and ESL experience has hurt the South Africans badly. Very commendable that they chose to go with domestic players only but probably a bit naieve. I can't think of many other nations that would do that.
Who are these eleven eligible candidates anyway?
Sets up a good final match - winner takes all. I don't think USA will be playing for a draw!

| The Yanks also get the longer break between games. Just like they did in last year's Atlantic Cup. Funny that.

| A commendable effort by the South Africans. Just goes to show what a difference bringing in some pros can make to your team. I can understand why they kept it domestic though. When you're trying to grown the game and encorage players to play League, the opportunity to travel overseas and represent your country is a pretty big carrot to dangle.
I'm another hoping the Reggae Boys can do the business on Saturday.

yes i was way off with my prediction i actually thought jamaica would beat the rhinos by a score that bettered the USA's victory, so if jamaica beat USA it will be obvious they held back against the rhinos to save themselves for USA game and cancel out the USA week long rest advantage. in answer to your who are the eleven overseas based south africans elegible to play? have you ever heard of tom van volenhoven, len kileen , green vigo, david barends, ivor dorrington, alan skeene, ray mordt, jamie bloem, jan prinsloo, nick du toit, and i think wilf rosenburg is still alive, so there not very hard was it? you lancashire pudding!!!

| Coming up to half time and the US are beating Jamaica 6-4.
Seems daft to start a new thread for each game. A single thread for the Atlantic qualifiers and another for the European qualifiers would have been much better.

Not that I'm aware of. Not long to go now and USA leading the Reggae Boys 18-4, so it looks like the Tomahawks will be joining the Cook Islands and Wales in Group D for 2013.

| USA qualify for the Rugby League World Cup 2013 with a 40-4 win over Jamaica. They'll face Wales, the Cook Islands and Scotland in two years time.
