I can categorically say that Mitchell Pearce's 48:00 minute try for the Cronulla Sharks in the game at the Sydney Football Stadium against the Sydney City Roosters takes the accolade in my view for being the try of the century.

I doubt anyone will see anything more spectacular, Jesus my heart is still pounding after he zig zagged and beat the entrire Roosters defence to score from 90m out.

Mitchell Pearce plays for the Roosters. Nathan Gardner is your man, the Cronulla fullback. It was a good solo try, and that's all it'll be. If we're looking at the current century, it'll be lucky to make the top 100. If we're looking at the last 100 years, it might make the top 1000, maybe.

Fantastic solo try, he beat half of the Roosters side with his angled running and sidesteps. Great effort and only his second try in first grade
