With a million pound SL grant adn 1.5 milion pound salary cap clubs should not be struggling to make ends meet. Not sure you can blame poor management practice on SL/RFL or Sky TV!

People are always asking for a source. If you can't believe the club themselves, then what actually can be classed as a source?!

Perhaps one way to avoid instances such as the Wakefield problems and all the other clubs that have gone into adinistration would be to adopt the UEFA plan that every club financially break even.

UEFA have brought this into effect from 2011/12 seasons. They are giving clubs three years to sort out their finances with a maximum loss of (I think) 38m euros. Any club that does not comply will not be allowed to play in European Competitions.

The RFL/SL could do something similar by announcing their plan this year with the same three years to sort matters out. From 2015 a SL club would have to break even, a club not doing so would be banned from the play offs. Being banned from the play offs might concentrate a few minds.
We don't have an effective mechanism or plan to prevent clubs going broke, we need one and this is my suggestion.

If you mean no external investement from a director at all , you would immediately bankrupt the majority of SL clubs , yes you suggest a 3 year window to sort it out , but seriously it would need Quins to quadruple their fan base in 3 years

I have predicted that we will finish in the bottom 3 this year...but recent developments (loan signings etc) might mean we could knock on the door of 8th.........but I believe we will sin the Grand Final and Challenge cup double before you see an average of 10k at the stoop
