Only 7 hull players in your 13?Fonua is a strange one as for first half of season he was seen by own fans as waste of an import slot.hes certainly caught eye in back end of season and again was a handful tonight.think Broughton has been very good and Taylor from cats.millington Clark Webster Dorn all must be in running but tbf I think your 13 won't be far wrong

Think Mahe Fonua has played his way in as the season has progressed.
1. Shaul.
2. Manfredi.
3. Fonua.
4. Gelling (though I don't think he has been that good, I can't think of anyone better).
5. Solomona
6. Sandow.
7. Gale.
8. Hill.
9. Houghton.
10. Walmsley
11. Currie.
12. Bateman
13. Ellis.

As its a hypothetical team I just picked the best two halves, even though they both play at 7.
Unlucky to miss out:
Dorn (played too few games - but when he has played he has been excellent).
Clark (he and Houghton have been head and shoulders above other hookers, but there is only room for one).
Scott Taylor.
Sneyd (great kicking game but not at the level of Gale and Sandow with either his passing or running game).
Amor (still makes consistently good metres).

Sneyd over Sandow. Sandows had about 5 good games all season. The rest of the time he looks like some bloke that got lost and ended up in the middle of a game of rugby with no clue what to do

I'd have had Bateman over Minichello, and that's about it for changes really.

And before anyone says he missed too many games, Bateman played more than Ellis or Minichello this season.

ellis and mini didnt fight with any teammates though

Even with the eight week internal club suspension by the Wigan club, Bateman has still been the most outstanding player of the the season.

As for the choice of Gidley at Stand Off, how can he be considered ahead of far better players in that position which have included Williams who is among the nominations for young player of the season.

And Ellis has only been selected on sentiment of his long career in the game.

I don't think anyone can argue with the 6 Hull players, but no way should Sneyd be in. He is nowhere near Gale & he isn't a stand off the last time I looked. Grant Millington would have a better call for that position. Like or loathe Wigan, Williams has that position wrapped up.

Ellis has been absolutely outstanding this season that's why he has been nominated for the MOS.

There is so much bias in that post.

No way has Bateman been the most outstanding player of the season. For Wigan, maybe, but not in Super League.
