That you continue to be personal? Well yes, just read the thread.
Quote: Smokey TA "Look, we all watched, you don't need a commentary. What they did not show is any delaying of treatment, and that's the point you're avoiding.
Quote: Smokey TA "
you said it seems without foundation, '" '"
Yes!
Quote: Smokey TA "... the fact it hasnt been proved 100% by the video evidence we have seen...'" ... is just that - a fact. Thank you.
Quote: Smokey TA " doesnt mean it is without foundation,'" Yes,
it plainly does!
Quote: Smokey TA "there is clear evidence it is quite likely that the wigan players surrounding the injured player didnt allow the physio to provide treatment as quickly as he otherwise could have done, especially considering the inordinate amount of time between Mcguire's injury and the stretcher coming on.'" What evidence? There is NO evidence that a single medico was delayed in any way shape or form by any Wigan player and I suggest you pack in this silly line of false accusations as they just didn't. As for stretcher time - entirely a decision for the Wigan medical staff.
Quote: Smokey TA "FA wroteIts just your strange avoidance of simply admitting somebody said something a bit classless and a bit tasteless purely because it was a leeds player'"
You meant to sayIts just your strange avoidance of simply admitting somebody said something a bit classless and a bit tasteless, which you avoid admitting purely because it was a leeds player'"
The new "intended" meaning - that I won't admit it was tasteless etc "purely because it was a Leeds player" is just silly. My comments are considered not partisan, and would apply to any player from any club. Moreover I like and rate McGuire as a player and have nothing against him so if that is what you meant then I have no clue how you would possibly justify thinking that.

| Clarke's comments were a bit dumb. Every player 'cheats' whenever they think it benefits their team, and especially if they can get away with it. Has anyone ever seen a player own up to a knock on missed by the ref? Any side not had players offside when defending close to their line this year, and not get penalised? Has any player in the league not tried to milk a penalty at the PTB or deliberately delay the attacking player getting up?
I'm just not sure why there has been all this fuss about McGuire's actions in particular.

Jealousy.
Had it happened to anyone other than a Leeds player there would have been a mass outpouring of sympathy on here rather than some of the ill-directed bile that has spewed forth instead.
Had it happened to ickle Sammy T I would have expected the Pope at his hospital bedside beatifying him instead of Cardinal Newman.

I would imagine because no one other than Leeds supporters actually like him?

I agree with you there. In last weekends Wigan v Hull KR match I distinctly saw Briscoe prevent a tackle being scored by reefing the ball clear with two men in the tackle. A penalty was correctly awarded, but I've not seen any hue and cry from people deploring Briscoes "cheating".

exept the rule is it is alowed if the player is in tha act of scoring a try which is what the played was doing at the time of "the ball steal" ,,,,,,should have been a drop out under the stick or scrum attacking side feed dependent of where the ball ended up.

I've heard that before but never seen the relevant section of the Laws.
Any proof that is the case? I can't see why it's not a penalty just because he might be about to score. Surely a 2-man ball steal is a 2-man ball steal, regardless.

It's not a rule. They used to consider awarding a penalty try until about 3-4 years ago. Nowadays, it is just a penalty kick.
