Kendall made mistakes in Wigan’s favour the other night, Moore made a couple in our favour last night. Conclusion, most refs aren’t very good and make mistakes. No insinuation of bias or favour or games getting reffed differently for Wigan.'"
Agree with the quoted post mate but how am I putting words in your mouth when I was responding to the post below which literally lists the mistakes he makes as a reason for him not to get the final?
This has to be a wind up surely?
I agree he got the Griffin call correct by the way, it was a stupid act from Griffin and Kendall was spot on.
However, Kendall also made a series of howlers which have been listed already in this thread. He also missed two incidents last week that should have been red cards and also should’ve sent Greenwood off v Saints.
So to suggest he deserves to get the final is crazy talk in my opinion. However knowing the RFL like I do, I 100% expect him to get
Edit: It won't let me bold the part that mentions the "Howlers" listed in this thread. That's the specific part I'm referring to.

As I said, I doubt he did fail because I doubt (or certainly hope) that Saints would do that but the situation should have been handled better than making a joke about it'"
I agree there. They should’ve clarified it.

I don’t follow you. I don’t think Kendall deserves the final as he’s made many higher profile errors. That doesn’t mean no other ref makes howlers too. I just don’t think Kendall “deserves” next weeks game. Having said that, it’s a fairly poor quality pool we are picking from. None of them are flawless.

Sorry mate, I tried to bold the part I was referring to above but it wouldn't. You mention the "Howlers" he made IN THE WIGAN GAME (not shouting but I can't bold on here). They're not howlers. They were no worse than those last night. In fact I'd suggest the soft sinnbinning and the shepard for Grace's try were far worse than anything Kendall missed in the Wigan game.
I agree that the Mcillorum one was a bad one but can any of us honestly say they "saw" the Tomkins one? When Myler complained he asked did he want to make a complaint to which Myler replied "no". What else could he have done?
You're basically saying Kendall shouldn't get the final because he missed one head high tackle. If that's the criteria then we have no ref for the final.

I’m not saying that at all. I’m saying he also made mistakes in Wigan v Hull game and also the Wigan v Saints game.
Yes all refs make mistakes, I just think he’s made a few too many recently to be a shoe in for GF, that is all.

So why on the Wigan page have you literally just wrote:
“Seeing as the club twitter announced he had failed an HIA and wouldn't be back, it would be interesting to see a report of what happened
If they have put him back on with any issues then they need to be made an example of by the RFL/SL.”

None of which were "howlers". Just the same type of error made by every referee in every game as I illustrated using last night's game. The reason you think they're an issue is because they were against Saints or for Wigan. When they're for Saints they aren't an issue and certainly not one big enough to preclude the ref from getting the final.
No one is suggesting he is a shoe in. NK suggested he'd be his choice to which you replied "surely this is a wind up" (sic).

Bloody hell you’re like a dog with a bone with me haha.
NK said he should “rightfully” get the GF which is what I disagreed with, due to his recent catalogue of mistakes. Nothing to do with Saints or Wigan. If you want to assume otherwise that’s fine but I don’t have the energy or inclination to go round in circles arguing about it.

Which is his opinion. Why would that be a "wind up"? It seems like as reasonable a choice as any other
You know why I'm like a dog with a bone with you Indulge me one more time. If it's nothing to do with Wigan or Saints then list me the "howlers" he made that went against Wigan in the recent derby.*
*Or, perish the thought, you could concede that I'm right.

| Quote: Saddened! "Kendall's last two games have been terrible, there is no getting away from that. He was put in a ridiculous position being given the game so soon after making two absolute howlers in the Catalans v Leeds game. Not seeing the headshot as a penalty is inexcusable, McIllorum has punched him square in the face and he's not seen it. There's blood pumping from his nose and mouth and still he doesn't compute that maybe the tackle caused it. But they give him the game anyway, which is a common RFL trait unfortunately. It just puts him under an unacceptable level of pressure. It was a similar situation to Hicks being given the Challenge Cup final last year. ITV aired the piece about his death threats from Warrington fans, so they give him the final to support him. Again put under incredible pressure he cracked. Similarly last night Kendall spent the first half panicking and making rash and often incorrect decisions. There were some absolutely farcical passes last night, one in the build up to the drop goal at the end of the first half was right in front of him and couldn't have been more blatant.
There are quite a list of minor decisions he got wrong last night and the head patting incident is the big topic of debate today. I'm fine with that being a penalty, but where is the consistency? Singleton against Saints was in one of those overly fired up moods and was goading Saints and slapping backs and heads whenever we made an error. Never considered a penalty then, but is because Wigan all steam in for a fight. He's penalising Hull not for the head pat which they'd get away with, but for Wigan's retaliation. Had they not reacted, there's no penalty. It's wrong and all caused by referees not being consistent.
Who gets the final will have a big say on who wins it this year. Kendall suits Wigan to a tee. He doesn't police the 10 at all and high shots need to be full on Ultimate Warrior efforts to be given. If Catalans make the final it's just a thug-fest and a brawl. If Saints get there they need a referee who will keep the 10 a 10 as per the rules and not a 5 as it was allowed to be last night. I got plenty of bitter shouts on Twitter for saying that, but it's not bitterness. I'm fine with Wigan winning it if they're the best team, but their defensive success recently isn't based on anything more than moving way before the ball is played, and Kendall ignores that. And it seems he's given all of Wigan's games recently.'"
Eamonn, calm down. Your rant in the programme a couple of weeks after the 2019 cup final made you look sad and bitter, but to bring it up again 15 months after the event says much more about you. Do like any other club chairman would do and take it on the chin, congratulate the winners and move on.

In the last few games:
He should’ve sent Greenwood off
He should’ve sent McIlorum off.
He missed a forward pass for Harry Smith’s try.
He wrongly penalised Connor when French knocked on.
In my OPINION, those are all howlers. They also have nothing to do with my feelings for Saints or Wigan.
I am more than happy to agree to disagree mate.

Yes I agree. But if you’re sure they haven’t put him on with issues I don’t understand why you’re suggesting there is a chance they have, that’s all.
