Thank you.
So, for all the sheep who are bleating about MM and Wigan threatening the rest of SL with extinction while they are playing tick pass.
Here are two examples n the space of 3mins of 3rd man in attacking the legs of a player.
I'm sure they weren't doing it with 'intent' though - whatever that's supposed to mean, or it wasn't dangerous because they aren't wigan players and they haven't signed a pact with the devil, etc.

I'm sure they weren't at all comparable to the other incidents we've mentioned either.

| This whole thread is based on a farcical view.
Saddened writes as much fiction as J.K. Rowling but isn't the only RLFans member dedicated to another club and an anti-Wigan agenda. Christ, there's hundreds.
If a player gets injured in the tackle and Wigan are the defending team it is always; "Wigan dirty tackling", "Malicious", "Horrible technique", "Maguire is a cancer" etc.
If a Wigan player gets injured in the tackle and another side are the defending team it goes something like; "players get injured from legitimate tackles".
The second quote I use might not be from Saddened but I have seen it written on RLFans. It is a view that is blinkered and biased. It saddens me.

| I just don't think there are 'dirty' teams any more. There are individual players who are niggly, others that have poor technique (Morley used to be one of the worst for going high for this reason) and some that do engage in deliberate thuggery now and then. But this isn't the 60s or even the early 90s - matches are recorded and players get banned for violent play. It would be a very, very dumb coach indeed who regularly sent his side out with an intent to injure, as even with the RFL's inconsistencies, you'd expect a lot of players to be suspended.

Any theories as to why that might be the case?

| Maguire was a black mark on RL in this country. Whilst coaches like Daniel Anderson and Brian McLennan won championships on the back of exciting Rugby league, Maguire set out to win at all costs, evident by the way Danny Maguire was seriously injured and laughed at on the floor by the wigan players as he writhed in agony. Then there has been the constant bending back of limbs, trying to seriously maim the opposition. Even Phil Clarke has jumped on the bandwagon with his disgusting comments about the Danny Maguire incident.
I think its fitting that the 2 fairest teams in the comp, who have been on the receiving end of Wigans tactics should contest the Grand Final and make it a proper family day out instead of the knuckle dragging, salivating neanderthals from Wigan, that would pour into manchester on grand final day.
I for one cant wait to mingle with the Leeds fans and have a beer with them, rather than having to watch my arms and legs, should wigan have got there.

Ignoring the rest of the sh@t in your post... surely Danny McGuire was trying to 'win at any cost' when he injured himself?
It's also a myth that Saints and Leeds play more attractive Rugby than Wigan.

Please can you point out where I said they play more attractive rugby than Wigan?

You are quite right they are in no way comparable because,
A) it wasn't wigan
B) it wasn't Lima
C) the team wasn't coached by MM
Therefore nothing at all wrong with the tackles.
You really are a prize tit.

| Couldn't we have saved a lot of hot air and typing energy by just agreeing that [generally] non-wi*an fans think Maguire instills in his teams questionable & potentially dangerous tackling techniques in order to ‘control the ruck’, thus degrading the spectacle of rugby league; whilst wi*an fans think the sun shines from out of his bottom?
