Yeah, I said pretty much the same thing on the other game thread. All the Aussies did today was play basic footy and took no risks. They scored every try off the back of a Kiwi mistake and if im not mistaken did the same to us last week. Its simple way of playing but very effective. Work the middle all game and then when you get a chance give the outside backs ball in space. |

To be fair to England I thought they performed reasonably well under difficult circumstances.
I thought Robinson,Roby,Graham(England's player of the tournament for me) and Burgess played pretty good.
I thought the ref let PNG get away with a lot of infringements though,especially around the play of the ball.

Indeed. He was superb. Apart from the strong runs, his great tip ons and passes kept their defence guessing.
Just watched the game again over here. Have people forgotten that we played almost the entire second half with only a bench of ONE!!! Well done England. Good effort.
Oh and both our starting halves were off the pitch 5 mins into the second half.
