Malcolm Allison did similar for Manchester City during his tenure. For them it created a very loyal following through some very hard times. Get em in young!!! It's not the answer, but i applaud the efforts.

Think people need to be realistic , even when we had a semi decnet team the crowds weren't massive , definitely not the 8K which gets mentioned as a minimum. I'm a season ticket holder and so far this year we've played on a Thursday at 8 , Saturday at 3 , Sunday at 1 + 3 , Fridays at 8 . It makes the commitment to get one next year waver a bit as having a 9 year old who plays 3 sports my commitment is to get him to and from his games. That said , we've lost the last 4 including one against a team in the division below , the stadium and location is what it is and on Friday the traffic and weather was anightmare to get to the ground BUT I still got there. There is a level of apathy but being a Salford fan for as long as I can remember we've never challenged for much so to expect people to just decide to turn up is wishful thinking , it's a steady improvement with building on solid foundations that will do it , not quick fix signings , twitter rants etc. I'll still turn up as it's the team I support , it's the 50/50 or 40/60 people we need to get on board and good match day experiences will get those people but consisent match day experiences

I think you'll find there were very few Salford fans that took that opinion but it's far easier for you to generalise as you've probably encountered 3 or 4 of those aforementioned gobes. While we're on the subject of gobes, any chance you can take the likes of jools and meast back to your board? Thanks in advance.

Jesus Christ there are some obsessed fans on here. Let's just leave RL to the handful of teams that can pull 6k every match and throw the world conquering Leigh RLFC into the mix.
