I applaud what Fev have done with their stadium in the last 30 years, it's an example to us all. One day I hope it bares fruit and we see you back in SL.
However it wouldn't be much of a return if there were no Cas to do battle with would it?
I'm sure they are doing there best, however the demands of SL do not help - this is something you have not had to face, think about it.

Featherstone Rovers Rugby League club has been awarded £150,000 of funding from the RFL Facilities Trust.
The Championship club applied to the Trust for support for a new stand project which includes a 20m extension to the overall pitch, this stand was purchased from Scarborough Council and there are plans for the covered all-seater stand to house additional facilities.
Featherstone Rovers Chief Executive Craig Poskitt said: “It is fantastic news that our application for support has been approved by the board of the RFL Facilities Trust to enable us to press ahead with re-development of the Big Fellas Stadium.
“Quite rightly the application process has been very thorough and we have received excellent support and guidance from Officials. As widely publicised, this is a unique and innovative project which the RFL Facilities Trust clearly recognises and the support we are receiving is a major factor is our plans becoming reality.
“The redevelopment of the Big Fellas Stadium will vastly improve the experience for supporters of Featherstone Rovers and those of visiting clubs.
“It also allows us to increase revenue streams on a match day and diversify non-Rugby League related revenue streams such as creating accommodation for local businesses.
“I’d like to place on record our sincere thanks to Paul Coventry whom I have worked very close with in securing the funding. Featherstone Rovers would also like to thank the RFL Facilities Trust for the support we have received from and look forward to moving the project forward over the coming months.”
Chairman of the RFL Facilities Trust, David Gent said: “We’re delighted to be assisting one of the sport’s great clubs through this innovative project.
“This funding will help Featherstone build on their previous successes and the improvement to their facilities will hopefully attract even more spectators.”

Soreboard has now been relocated to opposite end of the ground

Back in Super League? Never mind .
There is something about your post that made it sound like you had a white flag waving over your head when you wrote it. Which is sad to read.
Reading the article posted earlier in the thread it does sound like your chairman has a realistic view towards things. If you look at the development going on at HKR, Cats and Leeds there are not going to be many poor grounds left.
Lets hope that Cas, Wakey and at some point Bradford can get their grounds sorted. The reason why promotion and relegation doesn't work is relegation. It kills teams so there is little reason to have licencing and still kick teams out. I am sure people can wait for ground to be built.
Better grounds are a must but once this is done the RFL can focus on other things and we can start improving the game on the field.

Good I am genuinely pleased. No need for me or any Fev fans to feel bitter in any way at all. Things are on the up we have a good coaching set up, a top squad, excellent youth set up, our ground is being upgraded and £250,000 funding from the RL.
No bitterness here, just pride!!
Oh and the coffee is good too.

That looks great... although to be picky, they don't need permission to reclad the stand, but they do need permission for signage/advertising hoarding, which is what this is and what they have applied for planning permission for.

| I think it's a visually attractive sign, but does it inform you of where you are well enough?! Half of the name of the stadium is behind broken glass, as is most of one of the Hull KR badges. Good advert for MS3 though.

The broken glass design is just a method of future proofing

I know what your saying about the craven park bit getting lost but in these times of financial difficulty I think you just have to whore yourself out to a bit of advertising.
I do think it looks good and very striking and hope we (KR) get it.
