No-one likes it because he's an Aussie and plays for Warrington, but you're right. Monaghan is an outstanding hooker and is easily the best and most in-form hooker in the competition. Cunningham has been a better player, but this season Monaghan is better. A definite candidate for Man of Steel.
I think one overlooked player who does so much right every week it just becomes normal and acceptable is Pat Richards. A player most rationally thinking supporters would have in their squad any day. Madge has given him special praise this week for another 20 point haul yesterday. An excellent player and he should be a contender.

| Fitzgibbon has been brilliant with Hull, especially at the start of the season. Willie Manu has been exceptional (as always), too.
However, if I had to put one name forward from Hull (I'm a Hull Fan) it'd have to be MARK O'MELEY.

| Monaghan is definitely the best Hooker in the competition.
Buderus & Cunningham may have been better players, but they're not as good as Monaghan anymore.
I'd put money on Monaghan being in the dream team.

The fact that you say Pat Richards should be out of it for a couple of mistakes in one game makes everything you say now null and void.
You musn't watch much rugby.

| Sam Tomkins could be in the mix come the end of the season based on his recent form other than the saints game.

Any other Wigan player you'd like to vote for? I personally think Darrell Goulding has had an excellent season!
Monaghan, Fitzgibbon and I think Morley is also a worthy candidate too.

| Pat Richards is the only one that should even be in consideration. If anybody else wins it will be a disgrace.

Pat Richards is . A typical, average, run of the mill NRL outside back. Nothing special at all. Like Barrett he is a myth. He is solid enough, he can catch, he can kick goals. But does he do enough to win MOS? Does he go the extra mile the previous winners have done? I'm not so sure.

| And yet he'd walk into any team in the league, as would "average" O'Loughlin.

Disagree with you there Saddened,Richards is the best winger in the league IMO.

Funny, we had 2 hookers playing yesterday both of whom out played Monaghan.
I think he's overrated, but I know the Sky team love him so you're probably right about him being in the dream team.
