I have no idea if Hull FC & KR are the worst in the league or not, frankly it's irrelevant if they are. Hull is a rugby league city and for 2 professional clubs to have such low numbers of local players is a very poor effort from those clubs. Hopefully both clubs will put a focus on their youth systems instead of signing average Aussies or even average English players. They need to be producing more themselves.

Hull KR are getting better at this and trying really hard. We where promoted in 2007 and prior to that we never even had a youth setup. 6 seasons on and this year we sent our most promising youngsters on a three week tour of Australia. It all takes time and we are now seeing the benefit with Welham, Taylor, Cox, Salter in the first team with several others now in the wings.

your origanal post made out to be a moral victory in keeping wigan to a smaller losing margin than fc, who had 10 first teamers missing compared to your 1!

As a Rovers supporter I was merely focusing on the positives & didn't mention FC at all in my original post, don't be so sensitive me auld fruit.

I bet the likes of Wigan or St Helens produce 3-4x the number of youngsters than the city of Hull.
Shocking really, especially when football is secondary to rugby.

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |
|
| Quote: Easty "Alot of Rovers fans where at the very top of the stand which you saw at the end of the game. Just looking back at the game on sky I'd say probably 350. You'll know better when some Wigan fans who where at the game post.'"
Yeah right, think you need a new abacus old lad. I freeze framed it on the HKR end and counted 58. Absolutely terrible support from fans who slag everyone else off and tell them how they're keeping Rugby League afloat with their away support.
