As you did last week, apart from one week was enough for us thanks (although depending on results on Sunday it could be short lived).

| Just how tight is the bottom of SL and could we see a club relegated on points difference ?
Although Saints and Wire have been ahead all season, the battle for the GF will only really get underway once the regular season has finished and although Catalan and Hull looked in position to challenge, Wigan have got themselves into a competitive position and I still feel that it wont be a Saints v Wire final.
One of them is likely to fall.

Yeah London may not have expected to win today away to Cas but they can’t afford scorelines like they’re getting today. Leeds and Hudds are effectively 1 point ahead of them because of points difference.

And hosting Warrington next week might be rough for you.
Not sure we'll get much out of Wigan away.
Leeds at Cas will be the first proper test with Lui - Catalans are a shambles
The Huddersfield Salford match might get tasty.
Still wide open.
And we still to play all 3 again before the end of the season, 2 of them at home.

| So, all change at the foot of the Table after the weekends games. Next up Salford host Huddersfield with the loser really dragged itno the mire. Leeds visit Castleford, with the hosts keen to cement a top 5 place, the visitors desperate to put distance between them and London, FC and Saints could well be the game of the round, depending which version of FC rock up, Wigan could really do London a favour as they are looking like top 5 material now and could turn the screw on HKR, but the Tony Smith factor may well balance this one out, Catalan v Wakefield will be a season ending defeat for either side and London will need to keep the score down when Wire visit......other than the Saintsv FC game, every second is counting again

Possible but unlikely. I think 20 points might mark the start of the safe zone but who knows?
My son predicted Huddersfield for the drop before the season started. I thought that was unlikely but.....

Salford are 4 points clear of Huddersfield with a vastly superior points difference (3rd or 4th best in the league last time I checked). Little confused as to why we'd be in the mire as even if we lost in Thursday we're effectively 3 points better off than Hudds with our points difference.

3rd best and at least a 100 point cushion against the other teams in the lower half.
Cannot see Salford going down at all

That must really hurt to say.

| At least the bottom 4 must be pleased that they don't have to sell hospitality packages for the Middle 8 games. Isn't that what we were told was the reason for scrapping them.

| London have have caught a bit of luck with Hill being banned.
Next week will be a real test at home against them but if Warrington get complacent.....

The 3 x 8 structure was a joke when it was launched and thank the lord its been consigned to the scrapheap.
The battle for the wooden spoon (or avoiding the trap door to the Championship), looks like being the tightest in the SL era and one of the tightest ever.
7 games left and 4 clubs "level" on 14 points.
As for selling hospitality packages, it must be a hell of a lot easier when you know how many games you have and who they are against and with the battle for a play off spot warming up nicely, there wont be too many "dead rubbers" before the end of the final season.
Huddersfield and London currently look the two clubs in most peril, although a couple of decent results could change the look of the league quite quickly.

Salford and those just above that bottom 4 group SHOULD be ok. Even if a few of those 4 teams get on a roll I can one of them possible only 3 from 9, which would leave the likes of Salford and Wakefield & Catalans too only needing 1 win or maybe 2 from 9. As poor as Catalans have been lately it’d be a surprise to see a losing streak go on for a full 9 games more.
Salford will be fine if they win their two home fixtures vs Hudds. Which btw if we’re to have loop fixtures can we not space them out better. Salford vs Hudds at AJ Bell twice within a few weeks. Likewise Leeds vs Catalans at Headingley, Wigan vs HKR, Hudds vs Catalans all played twice several weeks apart coming up.
