Thats what the smiley at the end was for.
Yo're still talking rubbish though - no sane person would leave TJ out - he's better than BJB and way better than MCB who was dropped in favour of Tupou for a while after the Hudds showing.
I agree with you about TJ being a winner and entertainer but he’s also been out for months with a serious injury, during that time MCB has been outstanding bar maybe one game.
If Johnstone had score s some of those long range acrobatic try’s that MCB scored we’d be raving about them.
It’s MCBs shirt to lose IMO and Johnstone Willie have to bide his time till his opportunity arises as MCB did last year. It will no doubt happen and Tom will take his opportunity I’m sure of it.
Jowitt for Grix?
In all honesty, Hooly is likely to get the gig before Max, he’s a better player.

You may be right about hooley however I think Max deserves another chance certainly at the start of the season if he does OK in the friendlies - he's no TJ though I realise that.

He's spot on about strength in depth - there are maybe two or three players in that squad who are not really ready for SL but even those are quality youngsters. We have at least 25 players who could command first team a number of whom are genuine quality players which ain't half bad on our budget.
It will be fun seeing if it works or not. I can see Wakefield at the GF or the CCup this year but unfortunately I can also still see us slugging it out in the million pound game. Still that applies to a number of clubs so at least it's nice to no longer be the total no hopers.
Cue Lebron

Max Jowitt - 2016 Young player of the year
Mason Caton-Brown
Joe Arundel
Keegan Hirst
Danny Kirmond
Chris Annakin
Jordan Crowther

And then youngsters:
Luke Hooley
Christian Ackroyd
Lewis Wray
Lee Kershaw
I'm quite happy with that - we have enough established players to cover positions in case of injury and some quality youngsters waiting in the wings.

carefull now, Wakey always over achieve, better tio be no hopers and finish 5 than predict 5-6 and finish bottom.
wakefy really should have finished 3-4th last year, but blew it/unlucky. it will be harder this year to get to the same spot. Leeds Cas wakey Hull wigan saints catalan warrinington will all be in the mix for the top 4 spots.

Ellis was in the top 10 for MOS nominations again this year (Top 3 the year before), despite missing a fair few games.
But what do the players and coaches know?'"
That Ellis was top 10 MOS is meaningless, it's a bit like SPOTY, in 2016 he was voted ahead of Westerman in the dream team which was a joke.
IMHO in attack he's not been all that for a long time and nowhere near his NRL form, the last two seasons have been pretty average to say the least. His leadership however is second to none as I said, his tackling is far in advance of his attacking prowess.
Your statement tells me that you don't read too well and can't see past the fact it's Ellis and that he has been average in attack (well behind the likes of Watts, Bowden, Minichello and Taylor with Green being just as effective) which is the only negative point I made. His endeavour is not being called into question, nor his leadership but that he/we as a club decided to call time was the correct one as we have better to replace him in from an attack POV.
That we did not fall off a cliff when he wasn't playing despite other injuries as mentioned elsewhere on this thread shows your blinkers and inability to be objective.

Looks a really decent squad with plenty of good quality cover except in the halves

Ackroyd is an out and out half, and Randell, Wood, and Grix can also cover in the halves, and there's talk of Jowitt being spelled in the halves during friendlies and reserve games too to see how he does. That's 3 solid halves, 3 that can already comfortably cover the positions, and 1 who is going to be spelled there. Plenty of cover for the 2 spots

Ackroyd is one of the few genuine halfbacks in the junior game. He's quick and he's smart and he's cock sure of himself. He's quite small but he's incredibly brave, I have high hopes.

Watched this today. Pretty much most of Tom Johnstones try’s over 2015-17. Not including his number of contributions in drives, breaks and try savers.
Wouldn’t swap him for another winger in the league and if he carry’s on from his pre injury he should definitely be first name on the team sheet at wakey.
That’s not to discredit mcb or bjb who are very good wingers too.
