| Quote: Jim Pooley "And yet the FACT that World Rugby are assisting and supporting the RLIF in getting the charges dropped is ignored by those on here who love a good conspiracy.....the blokes iit on bail and a quid will get you a tenner all charges will be dropped......although his status as an illegal immigrant may be harder to deal with.'"
The fact you choose to troll that comment shows you need help.
Plus you have no grasps of the facts.
He is not on bail. The charges are not being dropped.
World Rugby appear to have done nothing.
The immigration status appears to be a problem only now uaerugby want him dealt with.
He has lived in the emirates a long time.

Yes exactly, for a so called World organisation they appear to be nothing more than petty vindictive bullies who care not who's life they ruin as long as their interests get protected.
It's shameful behaviour of which they ought to be truly embarrassed yet they won't be because they have no conscience

Illegally......you forgot the word illegally.
Saying he's lived there a long time and got away with it is like saying its ok to be a bank robber until you get caught.
I repeat. You can morally question the union lot, but as it stands, from a LEGAL standpoint in terms of the laws governing immigration and sports governance in the UAE then this guy is in the wrong and them's the facts

| Mokdad is still in jail and according to Steve Mascord there are attempts being made to coerce him to sign over the UAERL to RU authorities, which so far he's refusing. Shocking state of affairs.
And for 'Jim Pooley', the IRB have reportedly instructed UAERU to drop the charges but they won't listen. The next step is for the IRB to expel them and ban UAE from future international RU competitions. Considering they are harboring an organization that is illegally holding a man prisoner for organizing a rival sport, you'd have to think there would also be sanctions towards the IRB from the IOC and other related bodies if they don't do everything in their power to rectify this situation. Somehow I doubt any of this will happen.

| So to clarify......this is now very much a local issue given the irb are being ignored.

Do you think that a man's freedom being taken away simply for playing the wrong sport is a local issue? Of course not, it's something that requires international attention. The situation in Syria is a 'local issue' but that doesn't mean we should just ignore it or that it's not relevant.

If he was arrested for playing a game...id be all over this like a rash butbhebwasbarrested for administrating a game that's not registered and now it turns out he is there illegally.

| Quote: headhunter "Because you don't seem to understand that a 'local issue' is no longer a local issue when liberties are infringed and it requires international attention to rectify. Clearly we aren't fighting a war but in sporting terms this is very serious as a man has been arrested. And no, he wasn't arrested for not adhering to policy, he was arrested for administrating RL, which the UAERU apparently deemed to be an attack on their organization. He was administrating RL for years without issue prior to them getting involved. And if you're seriously buying into and propagating this 'illegal immigrant' story without a hint of irony or skepticism then you clearly are as dumb as your posts suggest. BTW the head of UAE Touch federation, also a non-Emirati ex-pat administrating a similar 'unregistered game', is currently walking free.'"
I repeat....as morally repugnant as the union in UAE has behaved, only one party has broken the law. He is illegally there, the game he wanted to govern was t registered and the big bad nasty irb have tried to intervene but have little influence in a country that is not renowned for level handed handling of issues.......it is a local.issue.

You are detestable

| Cool Pic Bro. I take it you've nothing to add and have now conceded that the issue is a local one, with little if any impact on either game outside of the UAE?

Nah, I think he's trying to use pictures to illustrate your childishness because you seem to have no comprehension of the words that people have been using.
