Only in our sport do we have comments/threads like these after one off showings. Yes we were a disgrace, and Wigan were red hot but to say be chucked out of the league based on a performance is frankly pathetic and consistent with the higher then thou attitude of RL supporters.

Every sport has blow outs. Sunderland getting beat 8-0 earlier in the season. Barcelona winning by 4/5 goals every week. Even the fabled NRL has big scores put on teams, but that's acceptable because its NRL i guess. I imagine the reactions from other supporters were not as pedantic and absurd as some folk on here. For fans of other clubs who have already been beaten by KR to politely advise us they bring nothing to the game is beyond explanation. I would hope there was a hint of sarcasm, but i will not hold my breath.

I would like to congratulate wigan on how ruthless they were, and ask RL fans to grow up. Analyse the game, rip apart the performance which is warranted, but stop acting like drama queens up on them high horses. Next time it happens to your team, of which it will no doubt please be consistent and demand your club get's thrown out as well.

Well, yes, of course. KR were pretty terrible against us, but we did put on our plays very well indeed, the sharpness and speed was back there in the passing, and frankly that display would have beaten better sides than HKR. Watched them the other night with Campese back and they looked much improved. OK, it was *only* Wakefield, but HKR fans need not expect Wigan-style blow-out scores all season. Unless they turn in another performance that bad, of course! icon_twisted.gif

We've beat Wigan, st's and Hudds and run Leeds and Warrington close this year. We're pretty competitive, blow outs happen. Canberra put 56 points on Titans yesterday, can happen in RL if one team is off their game.

Don't panic Mr Mannering!

Hull KR has the potential to be one of the most exciting clubs in Super League if at full strength. Campese and Kelly and Tilse and Sio are top notch. Dixon is brilliant in open field attack. I rate Hull KR at home, in terms of exciting play, second only to a full strength Catalans team playing at Stade Gilbert Brutus.

^^ This. What a thoroughly crap game of RL served up tonight in terms of skill. At least it was close which kept it somewhat entertaining

Agreed. A poor game, and the Sky pundits' attempts to talk it up were pathetic. As you say, only the closeness of the score would have kept any neutrals watching.

I remember thinking I was glad it wasn't live on the BBC, hardly a showcase for our sport. I hope Huddersfield and Leigh can do better. icon_twisted.gif
