Totally agree. But if you want bizarre and petty you should head over the CasForum. Fans are up in arms about the club going back to orange again. Something that isn't new - we've done it before since the days of the Jungle.com sponsorship in 1999.

| I'd be more bothered if England are changing their shirt yet again, as we are pretty much a new nation in branding terms after so long playing as GB...and changing the shirt every 5 mins doesn't help with getting people to recognise who England RL are.
hopefully it is a special one-off shirt, or an away kit.

I agree, we need to decide what it's going to be. Most clubs don't change the core design of their shirt each year. But it's even more important, in my opinion, for there to be a consistency in the england shirts.
Everyone knows what a Leeds, Wigan, Wire, Saints, Hull, Cas etc shirt looks like, everyone knew what a GB shirt was.

An England shirt is an England shirt because of the badge. I wouldn't give a monkeys if England played in a red vee, were sponsored by St Helens glass, had 17 Saints players turning out and nicknamed themselves 'The Entertainers' as long as the badge was English!
I'm an England fan when England are playing and leave my club loyalty to one side.'"
Well said... although saying that, I'd never contemplate wearing it, unless it was Scotland or GB badge

Answer to both is no because it's to much like St Helens shirt, same way i would not be seen dead in this latest shirt as it's to muck like the Pie Shirt. Sod all to do with being loyal to England.'"
It's rare I buy shirts much these days anyway and I wouldn't wear any England shirt to a Wigan game (I'd wear a Wigan one). If my missus was falling behind on her washing duty though or the machine was on the blink and all I had left was my Saints style England Jersey I wouldn't think twice!
When I watch Wigan my loyalty is to them and when I watch England I put that to one side and back anybody in an England Jersey.

I've seen Wigan fans wear St George shirts to games, yes, the red V version. Not many, granted, because most people wearing shirts are in Wigan shirts.
Similarly, I'd be unlikely to wear an England (or any other) shirt at a Wigan game simply because I'm watching and supporting Wigan, not England. I'll save the England (well, GB actually, I'm still not 100% on board with the England brand) shirt for internationals.
Incredibly petty minded to resent an England shirt because it bears a passing resemblance to Oldham. Sorry, Leigh. Dammit, Wigan.

A passing resemblance? It's identical to your current kit FFS. It's a horrible looking kit beside the fact that it's a Wigan shirt.
