It appears that some attendances are being calculated incorrectly, e.g.:

Wakefield V Bradford in 2014 = 4,049 *THURSDAY NIGHT GAME* + *REDUCED CAPACITY*
Wakefield V Bradford in 2013 = 8,084
% decrease = -99.65%

(4,049-8,084)/4,049 = -99.65%

Should be dividing by 2013 attendance instead to get the percentage difference between 2013 to 2014:

(4,049-8,084)/8,084 = -49.91%

Apologies for some awful rusty maths on my part icon_lol.gif fixed my errors.

Quote: JonB95 "SL Round 2 attendances - comparison to same fixtures last year

Wakefield V Bradford in 2014 *THURSDAY NIGHT GAME* + *REDUCED CAPACITY*
Wakefield V Bradford in 2013

Just to put a different spin on this very low figure. Wakefields current capacity is 5,333 [www.wakefieldexpress.co.uk/sport/wakefield-wildcats/wakefield-wildcats-news/stadium-capacity-at-wakefield-wildcats-slashed-for-start-of-new-season-1-6406940]

So the figure of 4,049 is roughly 75% of capacity [Not exact, but i'm not a statistician]
Last years capacity was 12,000 and had an attendance of 8,084 that was at roughly 70% of capacity.

A convuluted way of looking at it, but percentage-wise, the attendance has actually increased!

On the London forum. Nice cheap coffee, friendly staff, tidy ground....all of which mean nothing to the club as 100% of the match-day revenue goes to the Landlord, who is also being paid rent by the club AND being given a marketing budget by the RFL to attract more fans WHICH HE GETS THE REVENUE FROM! icon_beat.gif

You yourself have said that "it was the best day in memory" in regards to the club......WHAT THE F*(K? icon_lol.gif

There are so many great memories of following London, a great many of which you have witnessed (in your Leeds shirt) and there's not a snowballs chance in hell that getting thumped by 26 points at home by a team that "might" make the 8 in front of the 2nd lowest gate for a SL game in London ever is one of them....... d040.gif

Once again, a fascinating insight, with nothing at all to back up your original comment, instead the usual repetitive drivel. Please feel free to point out anybody who was happy with that crowd.

Quote: JonB95 "I am referring to the fact that you never gave the previous 5 years' attendances last season'"

Yes I did and I provided them for every round of SL. It has already been noted that you can't be @rsed providing those figures yourself.

Oh, and just in case anyone is interested, this weeks SL attendances compare with the previous 6 years attendances for the same fixtures as follows...

Round 2 attendances (6 fixtures)
2014: 47,191
2013: 47,325 -0.28%
2012: 50,413 -6.39%
2011: 44,125 +6.95%
2010: 47,164 +0.06%
2009: 48,052 -1.79%

Not a particularly good set of attendances this round given they were all opening games of the season. I'd have expected another week in positive figure percentage terms when compared to last season.

Unfortunately, the game remains stuck in this discredited licensing period until next season.

Read ---> EACH INDIVIDUAL FIXTURE.

Every fixture last year, you compared only to the previous years figure. Why have you ->NOW<- suddenly decided to compare the individual fixtures to the previous five years? Is it that the increased crowds do not as much fit your agenda? Give me a break - you only publish the statistics that suit you. That is why I am choosing only to compare to last year, rather than picking and choosing the historical context based on whether or not it fits my argument.

The attendance at every single SL fixture played last year, the year before in 2012, in 2011, in 2010 and in 2009 were accounted for each and every week at the conclusion of each round of fixtures. Historical context was therefore applied at the conclusion of each and every round.

Yet you continue to accuse me of being happy to avoid historical context and that remains a huge fabrication on your part.

Which SL attendances were not accounted for in my figures for last year? And in 2012, 2011, 2010 and 2009?

And is your fabricated accusation driven by the distinct lack of historical context in the figures you've provided thus far?

No, there are some very normal fans on there saying they enjoyed the day and that there were some new fans that also enjoyed it.

There is one very strange fan on there who tries to twist any positivity into proof of some kind of mass flag waving support of the current CEO.
