So lets get one thing straight. 1500 pre-payed seats are not counted on your attendance every home match? Sorry to burst your bubble, but they DO!! Remember when it all came about when your pictures were taken down over the picture gate scandal. A lot of things came out in the wash back then, even the fact that premier club tickets counted on your attendance whether there used or not.

They must employ somebody to walk through the turnstyles 1500 times a game then. Either all the 1500 turn up to every game or somebody walks through the turnstyle 1500 times. Either way I don't get why your that bothered by it, oh yeah Rovers fan.

There are a large number of reasons why this game (as well as recent play off games) have been poorly attended. Some to do with the club, some to do with the game.

But this has to be the biggest one:

The Top-8 format hasn't worked. Week one just doesn't mean enough. The games between 5-8 are usually average games. The games between 1-4 mean little. Top 5 was perfect. Top 6 stretched it a little. Top 8 has ruined it. Fans just aren't buying the importance of the early play off games and it's shown at most play-off games since 2009 (not just last night).
7,232 watched Wigan v Catalans in the first round of last year's play-offs (Wigan were top of the league with 14.5k home average).
Season before, 6,790 watched the same game in the second round (Wigan were CC winners with an average just below 15k).
7,323 watched Wire v Hull in the second round last year (Wire were CC winners with an average home gate of 10.5k, Hull took about 1.5k fans).

Were they all moaning about Wembley losses or poor league seasons?

Other than Catalans vs Leeds, every play off gate last season was below average. Many significantly.
The Top 8 play-offs have been poor. They have given fuel for rivals for the game or the individual clubs to add to the fire.

The problem with last night's gate wasn't the Hull fans. Just like last season's wasn't the Wigan fans or Wire fans. It's because the meaning of the play off games has been significantly diluted and the fans aren't buying it anymore.

That's far more significant than a few p*ssed off Hull fans and poor weather. Had Hull been going well and the weather been fair, there'd maybe have been a couple of hundred more at best.

I watched the news last night I missed the story in which 10, 000 people were made redundant last week in the Hull area, checked the BBC website too and nothing. I checked the weather for the force 9 gales coming in off the sea...nothing.

The truth is the club that boasts constantly about taking the most fans to away games and bleats constantly about having the greatest fans in the world had the illusion broke for all to see and now their egos can't take it.

The fact is, you're fans are not as great as you think they are, man up and just accept it rather than giving a million and one BS stories.

You do realise that people who are in work are sometimes unable to afford things, right?

A lot couldnt be botherd juding by the attendance. Was dissapointing to see the stands empty.Just amuses me that the minute we have a low crowd,we get jumped on.There are a few facts why people didnt go and support so low...Catalan brought 5 fans, people have got fed up with our form and especially after the Sts performance,Was a bloody horrible night and on sky, warmer and drier in house,Season passes on sale this mth...i only went due to daughter buying me a ticket or else i wouldnt have gone...My excuse...was in hospital for 3 days last week and on sick leave this week and i dont get paid..i had other prioroties.

Last night was a poor effort by Hull fans. For the first time this season.
As a Hull fan I'll admit that. For whatever reason, and there is probably a lot, people chose not to go.
But seriously, why do people give a damn? We're consistently well supported (arguably 'one of' the leagues best) throughout the season, and after one game the fans are getting slated.
We won the match. The fans who attended are happy. The fans who didn't attend are happy. That should be our only thought. If other clubs fans want to try and find a way to put the club/fans down then that's their choice.

This only happens [people jumping on you for attendance] because your fans more than any other always brag the most about how well travelled you are and how you the the most and greatest fans.

Sure they didn't just 'conveniently become skint' last night. Many of those missing, however, will have been season pass holders. Once the pass is paid for, there's only car parking and maybe a drink to pay for during the regular season. Conversely, it would have cost a family with a couple of kids around £60 to attend last night's game. After the expense of the recent Wembley trip and with season passes already on sale for next year, it would have been beyond many people. And, as I alluded to earlier, people do have things other than rugby to consider.

I've already said that some will have been put off by our poor performances in recent weeks, especially the Saints one. I know of at least two people who are 'non-regular' supporters who went to the Saints game and didn't go last night because of that. Not everyone is a die-hard fan who will go come what may, but equally, not everyone who didn't go 'couldn't be bothered'.

Got us mixed up with the inbreds from other side of city icon_wink.gif Never brag about our support as it can come back and bite us on the ar$e but 98 consecutive home games of 10.000+ is hard to ignore...as for play-off matches...cant remember the last one that was well watched.Even when we played you last season in play offs..was only 8,600 there.

Unless you have solid proof of 10000 people saying that, then its more crap spouted by you.
