| Quote: j.c "Why should NOT being a season ticket holder stop you from attending games?'"
Because it costs a whole fiver more to roll up and pay on the day than it does to pre-purchase 13 home games....that fiver, or 65 quid over the season is blatantly the reason why the Marketing Department at Salford seem unable to attract "new" fans to the "new" stadium. ......it has nothing to do with the fact that the markating at Salford is pathetic.
Dr CashCow is mistaken if he believes reaching CC final or making the play-offs will draw the fans in the numbers he dreams of........10,000 is the self sufficiency number...generating about 2 million in ticketing revenue and the same again in residuals.....until they get there, he will be picking up the slack...currently about $1,400,000 a year.......in ticket sales and the same again in residuals.
Salford have broken a 5k average once in the last 40 years......it will take more than a cashed up owner or even a cashed up owner and a winning team to get them to twice that number.
At 3,000 average at say 15 notes a ticket, Salford are currently generating 585k in ticket sales, say the same again in residuals and have 1.3 million from SKY........so about 2,500,000 a year.......if you want to play with the big boys like Leeds and Wigan, you need to get closer to 3 times that turn over.....is the good Dr OK with 5 million a year in the HOPE that it all comes good?
As I say, I wish Salford well, as I do all teams, but as it stands, all we have at present is a new owner who talks a great story, but has delivered little except a P45 to a coach.

| Quote: Early Bath "What a bitter man you are. Unfortunately I cannot add the word knowledgeable too.
There were 2.306 paying spectators last night. Additionally a few season ticket holders - for the reasons mentioned on this thread. Also the Dining Suite attendees were not added. Many of whom stayed indoors watching the game on the screens. My estimate for the total crowd there last night would be over 3,500 but dont let that figure upset your constant sniping. As a Wakey fan you must be very envious that Dr Marwan will ensure that the Reds will be very successful.'"
Why on Earth would those people NOT be counted?
There was nothing near 2500 never mind 3500.
It's head up blinkered ness like that, that got you into the mess in the first place.

| The Stadium Company control the ticketing but not the Banquetting numbers. Your estimate is way out I can assure you. The errors made by the previous administration was to OVER estimate the gate. Those lessons have been learned.

That is the announce attendance, correct...

London Broncos have had a benefactor quietly pumping 1.5 million +into our club for the last 5 years or more......believe me when I say that I wish Salford well, but I repeat, all the Good Dr has delivered so far was a P45 to a coach who was hamstrung.

Yep. IIRC Wigan turnover around £7m and Leeds around £11m and both are making profits. Which is why I hope the good Dr doesn't make the mistake of ONLY investing in players and heavily invests in building the club into a modern, professional one in all areas.
Leeds best signings haven't been Ali Lauitiiti, Iestyn Harris or Jamie Peacock but Gary Hetherington & Peter Hirst (finance director) in '96 who steadily "professionalised" the club and Rob Oates in 2003 who has tripled the corporate income at Leeds in 9/10 years.

So you're now making up unfounded cr@p to improve your argument. Congratulations. There were at least 1,000 in the main stand behind the cameras, plus close to 1,000 in the other 2 populated stands.
Salfords season was a write off from day one. The fact that the team is even mildly competitive is a miracle, as is the fact that the club is still in existence. Rome was not built in a day, and I'm not even a Salford supporter. Are you jealous of them perhaps?

Ed Farish, seems a very capable CEO, and with two directors like Graham Lowe and Andrew Chalmers, Koukash clearly wanted to put in place the sort of experts that will help build the club. Now throw into the mix Brian Noble, who has been accredited with laying the foundations for Wigan's resurgence, and I'd say Koukash is building a pretty damn good team to run the club.
Since he took over the club, a very ordinary player, Ryan Boyle, has been replaced with the more powerful and athletic Jake Emmit, and likewise Howarth with Gaskell. Both were excellent pieces of business, and granted he's achieved nothing, so far, but the early signs are good for the Koukash era.

1. Wigans reseurgence is down to Ian Lenegan.....it has SFA to do with Noble.

These experienced experts record of turning round low profile struggling RL clubs in England is where exactly?

I fail to see how dboy questioning the "made up figures" of the previous poster can be called in itself "making stuff up".
Every ticketed fan in the ground added up to 2,306, regardless of the claims that corporates weren't counted and neither were the ladies there on Ladies night......2,306 was the recorded attendance at the game and no amount of assumptions is ever going to change it!
The OP in this thread claimed the crowd was small...the viewers could see for themselves that it was a small crowd and insane claims of uncounted attendees just makes some posters look more and more desperate.
Salford average attandance is 2,961 this year.........43% down on 2012 and about 36% down on the last year at the ground that was apparently the reason fans stayed away........
As it stands, the Salary cap will restrict Dr CashCows ability to buy success....even if it's raised, but if idiots on here think using 50% of the cap to sign a couple of marquee players will attract 10,000 fans then they need their bumps felt.

| From an outside perspective, I signed up to some deal for a cheap ticket last year for Salford -v- Saints. I then expected a load of marketing emails every week to try and get me to go to more Salford games (presumably the whole point of doing the deal).
However, I didn't get anything until about 3 weeks ago - since I have had about 4 or 5 emails with different things in. It only took them 12 months but it looks like someone has finally pulled their finger out and got on with some marketing.

| The 2306 figure announced seemed about right to me. Not sure why people are trying to claim it was over/under. Anyone who has followed the Salford situation over the last 12 months could come up with numerous reasons for the low crowds. Think I will wait til the next time this thread appears in a couple of weeks though.

You seem to know an awful lot about nothing. Listen again. The Stadium Company announce the ticketed return for the day. The Corporate facility is franchised to a Catering Company (they do Worcester as well) so figures are separate. Add on the very few Season Ticket Holders PLUS the Box Holders & 3 year Season Ticket Holders then you might - just might - get the overall picture.
Re Veivers. He won 1 game in 9 months. Alan Hunte came in and immediately replaced the old guard with spirited youngsters & some of them will star in the future.

So, just to qualify what you are claiming......I can have a meal and NOT buy a match ticket, but watch the game anyway can I?
