| The fire sale last year was painful, however 86-0 against a certain club whose name I can't remember at
the minute was VERY VERY painful. I was only young and was totally gutted.

Yep - having abandoned Halifax for Bradford Bulls they're now wallowing in the doldrums

| Quote: GIANT DAZ "Jesus, there's some poor suffering fans on here - didnt realise how bad some fans had had it ........losing cup finals, getting nilled etc........god knows how their still watching the game after suffering that !!!!'"
To be fair, some fans of certain clubs are blessed having only watched continued success in recent years due to their age.
As a Huddersfield fan, you’re well up there in the league table of disappointments, however, still not near the top of the pile.
Your club is on the brink of actually winning some major silverware, surely as fans that’s what it’s all about. There are other clubs in S.L who’ve been through similar disappointments who are still light years from seeing their club captain lifting a trophy.
It’s the clubs supporters outside Superleague I admire the most, the Swinton’s, Keighley’s, Doncaster’s et al, who’ve had decades of despair with no light at the end of the tunnel.
But on the playing front, I’m adamant Wakefield supporters, of a certain age, hold the high ground regarding low points, two words.
Don Fox .

| As a Cas fan for over 30 years the two relegations, and Cup upsets against lower lge opposition would seem obvious.
But to me it was losing the Challenge Cup semi final to London in 1999, a final appearance that year with the interest and income it generates could of set the club up for years and prevented some of the above.

| Leigh seasons 93-98.
Poor coaches, really poor players and gates of 600. Mickey Mouse Chairman didn't help at the time though.
Saying that, also great away days on the brunt of it. Pasting Bradford and Saints in our relegation season 92-93 was bliss, especially doing the conga at Odsal. We expected Bradford to put 80 on us. We cost them the title !!

| Been a Rovers fan since the start of the 94/95 season. My lowest points would be:
* 0-1 at home to Barrow
* The constant merger rumours in 1995
* Initially the news that for the 95-96 and 96 seasons we would be in the third tier of RL. Strangely though I actually enjoyed these seasons greatly when I look back now. I guess it was such a refreshing change seeing us rack up huge scores every week after a poor 94-95 season in the old Division Two.
* Administration in 97 and all the Tim Wilby / Irish investors controversy.
* Losing 6-54 at home to Fev in 98 in a play-off final eliminator after a great season where we finished 2nd and beat eventual champs Wakey three times (inc twice away).
* Losing Stan the Man in 99
* the early noughties which were very dark times for the club
* Going to Whitehaven in 05 to watch us get smashed 0-51. Them then winning at CP weeks later and taunting like you wouldn't believe (he who laughs last and all that though... ).
* Some of our hammerings in SL (and the Cup) recently have also been bad, but compared to years gone by these are easy to cope with.

| Just remembered another - losing the 2004 and 2006 Northern Rail Cup finals to Leigh. The first one was a horrible experience: completely outclassed on the field, and totally outnumbered off it. Though there were very small signs of hope at the time, we still clearly had a long way to go.
The 2006 final was terrible because this time we totally outnumbered them off the pitch but came up short on it. From that day until the day I die I will believe that 'Benefit of the doubt' tries are the biggest load of bollox of all-time.

| As a Wigan fan, my lowest point was Magic Weekend 2008. 35-0 at half time to St Helens before losing 57-16. At truly pathetic response to losing 46-10 at Knowsley Road a month earlier. It summed up Brian Noble's whole reign really at Wigan. He let those kind of results become acceptable and it should never be like that at a club like Wigan. Thank lord that attitude has changed recently.
Catalan Cup Semi 2007 was a close second.

| I'd have to agree with a couple of other Wakey posters on here.
Getting excluded from the initial SuperLeague and then having to watch my team get trounced at castleford while several first teamers who refused to play stood on the terrace laughing and joking.
The Pearman debacle and resulting CVA and having to watch players like Bobby Goulding and Steve McNamara take the P*ss out of our club whilst others (Steve Prescott for one) still put the effort in.
The losses of Adam Watene and Leon Walker within six months of each other. Although the way everyone at the club conducted themselves following these losses is perhaps one of my proudest moments of being a Wakefield fan.
The latest administration and the loss of several players to scavengers. Again, a real low but could prove to be the best thing I have ever seen happen to this club, time will tell.
36 days to wait now for what could be the biggest day in the clubs recent history or the final nail in the coffin. Praying somebody in Government finally makes a sensible decision but with my innate distrust of politicians I cannot feel optimistic just yet.

| As a Doncaster fan...
The Final Game at Tattersfield against Workington in "The Big League" was the end of the ground and the end of the club as we knew it. I have never seen so many rugby players in tears.
Winning promotion in the playoff final against Oldham at Warrington only to find out in the post match interviews that the coach and chairman had quit leaving the club with no finance and no leader going into a new season in a higher league.
Allowing Paul Mansson to move to HKR mid season and replacing him with Holroyd.
