In any case I don't see how a merged Hull team would ever benefit SL as much as having both real clubs in does - we both take great support to other clubs (thus contributing plenty of revenue), both have good home support, rugby-mad city (but wouldn't be for a merged club IMO). Dobson certainly shouldn't have been re-registered until after Mason had left Hull KR.

No because it went to the Hull KR Youth Development Project trip to Australia,and the fans who paid to see Mason train were made aware of this before they chose to hand their dosh over.
