so you havent heard of the franchising system then huh ...where you been the past 5 years or so ....
RL games are determined by the best team on the day combined with luck, injuries and refs calls
but entry into SL and indeed success in it depends solely on a clubs achivements off the field

My you have short memory, i always thought Cougarmania was about the matchday experience and marketing and that the RL played was secondary to that.
Maybe we should go back to the days where we all turn up at games with our flat caps on, in troughs, dont let wimmin into the grounds, drink bovril, get rid of tannoys, forget music and cheerleaders, dont put games on telly except for the CC final and pay the players 2' 6p and a pie if they win the game.

In all seriousness I'm all for a couple of those points.

Me too, wouldn't fancy it on a baking hot day in July mind! Don't mind the music before the game, annoys me when they play it over the PA after a try. Cheerleaders don't bother me either.

The NFL do cheerleaders well.
The NRL do cheerleaders well.
Superleague DON'T.
The Americans and the Australians have great looking sunkissed silicone enhanced blondes with perfect white teeth without an ounce of fat on them.
Superleague cheerleaders generally speaking are either deathly pale chunky single mothers with hair dyed blonde using a cheapo non permanent hair dye from poundstretcher or bright orange skinned black haired moonlighting hairdressers with a couple of cheap tattoos and half a bog roll stuffed down their tops.
Both have as much rhythm as a dalek with a wonky wheel and they should all be sacked immediately.

I think you'll find you're wrong.
At the height of Cougarmania Keighley had a fine team, playing entertaining expansive rugby as was demonstrated against Huddersfield at Old Trafford in the final. How many tries did Huddersfiel score .

And did Keighley have a fine team because they had the MONEY ( from Cougarmania) to make that possible

You are missing the point.
You said the "rugby was secondary" - It wasn't, the two went hand in hand and were mutually beneficial.
How many tries did Huddersfield score???
