Prior to last night I'd have laughed at anyone claiming those teams would lose their semi finals next week.

Not an entertaining game for a neutral fan.

Warrington played well but lost.
Saints played poorly but won.
Scored 2 tries to one so I guess they just about deserved it

Crapp refereeing from James Child though couldn't control the game and allowed moving off the mark, not playing the ball correctly, lying on , ball steals, head tackles etc. etc. Its no wonder players were in his ear all through the match.

I wouldn't be surprised if James Child woke up this morning with "Chris Hill Tinnitus" this morning he was moaning every few minutes.

Chris Hill argues with refs every game nowadays and is allowed to for some reason.

That plus his forearm smash into a defenceless player laid on the floor seem to get ignored by officials and the disciplinary icon_eek.gif

Thompson had him in his pocket all game so had to take his frustration out on someone so what better target than someone who cant fight back

He always seems to pick on the smaller guy most occasions, he needs to man up take off his head guard its not as if he is protecting his good looks, he needs to tough it out with the bigger guys and be less gobby.

Well if you are going to go ahead in a game for the first time you may as well do it after the final hooter.

Also hilarious to read lots of dismissive comments about Saints pre and post match from Wire fans in a way more serious clubs like Wigan and Leeds never do.

We were dismissed as 'sitting ducks' on the Warrington board just a few weeks ago. Doubt the same posters were saying that come 9.50 last night.

I can't recall any posts on the Wire forum that say saints were sitting ducks a few weeks back, though I'm happy to be proved wrong. As much as we dislike it, most Wire fans have a bit of respect for the saints coach and team this year.

What a shame though that reading isn't taught in St Helen's schools. Just expressions such as: "durhh", "urhh" and "duruhh" suffice in day-to-day exchanges- I think this would solve a few problems along with taking the boxing gloves off before pressing the buttons on the computer.

Fair play though to (pain in the)as108 who hasn't spread any more pearls of wisdom after the game (spheres of sh@t).

Prize for the most ridiculous post to the year.

Thing is, he’s not wrong. Thompson was definitely the best prop on the pitch. Should have been nominated for MOM.

Its quite a lot of "fake news" that comes from some of the wire fans though, some call us arrogant because allegedly we are quoted as going to win everything this year when actually its all made up. Most of the post match banter you either take it or leave it, the coach and players are taking things one match at a time and thats how the saints fans are approaching the season as well.
We will have opinions from our own viewpoint but we never say this is going to be our year or this is going to be our year or this is going to be our year. But we are enjoying our season at the moment whether we win silverware is a completely different matter.

Hallelujah-as108!
After all this time and after so many great posts as108, I can see why you view Warrington as a poor side in relation to saints. Saints were amazing. What impressed me most was how they held back for the whole game and planned the Ben Murdock Masilla penalty in the last seconds to win-great tactics from Holbrook. This saints side, as you've pointed out on many occasions as108, are a sight to behold. They are just fantastic and leagues ahead of anyone else. Wow and just Wow! I've just put my bet on the saints for BBC sports team of the year. They really are remarkable.

This is a great example of the lack of reading education in St Helen's schools. The vast, vast majority of Wire posters are realistic. We can be optimistic at times, like other fans, but the vast, vast majority of fans are realistic; we have to be because we haven't won the big won for over 50 years. The problem with posts like this one, and from other classic saints posters like as108 and LeBron James, is that it appears to me none of you can read. This is the only explanation as to why there is a regular misinterpretation of Wire posts by saints fans.

I wasn’t educated in St Helens though spent most of my college education and employment in Warrington.
