don't worry, you've signed daryl clarke according to several on southstander in the off season, banned from driving/homesick/fell out with tony smith etc.
Not sure why he's not doing well for you.

Probably Westerman, i mean at Cas he was a prospect but drank too much, went to Hull and carried on, now he's at Leeds with the added responsibility of looking after DC...bringing each other down.

| Don't underestimate the significance of a lack of confidence. Leeds aren't the side they were last year but they're not too far off. All they need is change (either coach or new player) or some luck at the right time in a game and that confidence can come back. Although they have been poor so far this year there's still a good side in there.
That said, to join in the fun I'd take Hardaker (and move Tomkins to the halves), Briscoe to replace Charnley, either Moon or Watkins rather than Gildart (he's done nothing wrong they are just better), I'd consider the other centre over Gelling but I'm undecided on that one and Stevie Ward.

| As a Wakey fan, there's not many of that Leeds side worth picking the bones over tbh.
Maybe moon would be good cover, Hall isnt bad either I suppose.

| As a supporter of a W.B.R club, I’m more concerned about Leeds coming a calling, to improve their own ailing team.
Although it shouldn’t take them long to identify any class at B.V.

Although your problems at the moment are many, one of the main issues is the lack of any leader/organisation on the field.
Even when you get to last tackle, there is no one calling the plays.
The squad is generally good enough bar, a midfield general and a decent kicking game, also your hooker is gash.

Gale and McShane demonstrating last night exactly how those roles should be executed. Aren't they both Leeds academy lads?

Wakefield did rather well out of the McShane - Aiton swap and now Cas are benefitting from him as well.
Gale was on another level last night and Cas' linespeed was as good as anything we've seen in SL.
As for picking over the bones, Cuthbertson, Moon, Hardaker, Hall, Watkins, Briscoe are all v.v.good and would get into most SL teams, the problem again is in their creative players (or lack of them)

| Many on the Leeds (message) board, who are using this as an opportunity to support their long held views that McD. cannot coach (from time at London), think that the training ground facilities being flooded would have minimal impact. These people think leeds lost a few pitches and a weights room. The truth is that in addition to this they also lost their medical treatment, rehab and assesment facilities plus their coaching and support staff offices. They may have also lost a considerable amount of player medical and fitness data and video archive.
With the team training all over the city, assessment of injuries will be a complete nightmare - if somebody gets a knock in training, they cant just get it checked out but have to get in a car a drive for assessment and when they get assessed it will be less accurate. This will have been a major contributing factor into performances by many of the players as will the constant changing of players who are fit to play (teams cope much better with long term injuries and squad stability than constant changes due to short term injuries). Like all clubs, Leeds cannot discuss medical issues with the public and as a result unless players injuries are announced everybody assumes they are fully fit. Most players do not like having medical issues discussed especially if they are short term injuries.
It will be interesting to see what happens to player performance at Leeds when they are FULLY back into the Kirkstall site.

Not getting a full pre season will definitely have had an effect but, we are 14 games (16 weeks ?) into the season now and it looks more like confidence and "team" issues rather than fitness etc (although Maguire looked to have put a few pounds on).
Have they not had any use of the West Park facilities and if not, why not ?

So basically what your saying is that because Leeds have had to do what many other teams do every year anyway that should excuse poor performance! Boo hoo my heart bleeds.
For instance Huddersfield don't have all these wonderful on site facilities that you are describing, they train on a public pitch and only last year got their own private gym facilities. Now I'm sure you will come back with some sarcastic comment about lack of winners medals etc. Well. Quite.
Stop your excuses. These floods happened months ago- if a club with your facilities and cash can't have sorted themselves out by now then it's a poor do. If they'd happened a fortnight ago then fair enough but to still be using it as an excuse now is ridiculous.

| For the future. Lilley! He looks like he can become a Kevin Sinfield in terms of having a rugby league brain.
Presently nobody but Cuthbertson.
It's interesting how many Leeds fans thought Burrow wasn't good enough last season. He's head and shoulders above the rest of the team this season.
In terms of performance not height.

| In my book Burrow has always been a good player, but he's not, and never was, a 'main man'. He is a very good supporting play-maker, and has been tireless this season in trying to drag the Rhinos into matches.
As for picking the bones, I too like the look of Lilley a lot. I see a lot more in him than in Sutcliffe, who's never impressed me that much. And I'd have Joel Moon in a heart-beat.
