I had to search google maps for leigh. You would think there would be a bigger crowd when you realise its right in the area that league is popular and its the national side playing

Not really, job opportunities are why people are in London. Saying they "want" to live in London is a bit deceptive, most inhabit the place... reluctantly.
I'm not sure about people doing better for themselves outside of London. Seems a bit backwards, cost of living in mind, you'll still land a decent job in London if you want one.
Only the dole-dossers seem to leave London, so they can live better on their benefit checks.

One can work in London and live miles away if they want you know. Plenty do, including myself. However most enjoy living in London.
Dole dossers leave London? Wow. I'd have a walk around certain areas of South East London and re-evaluate if I was you. |

Exactly right, plenty travel into London because it's a hole and the only excuse for going into the place is your job. Same reason most Londoners who can afford it off from the place when they're able to.
People live in London begrudgingly. It's not a good place to live and nobody wants to be there - There's simply no alternative if you want a decent career so people are, in a lot of ways, forced to move there.
A hole in every sense of the word.  |

It takes me 10 minutes to get to work , any longer than 20 and I'd change jobs , as for spending half my life stuck in traffic or sharing a crowded bus/train , no thanks

The lack of a train station in Leigh makes it hard for people to travel there for a day just to go to the match and get wasted, as a large number will want to.

That’s one point of view
Mine is that London has far and away Britain’s largest offering of theatres, galleries, museums, concerts, gigs, comedy, restaurants, bars and clubs
I live in zone 2 (Shepherds Bush) and I can be in the office in the city 20 minutes... at the same time, I can be in places like Holland Park, Hammersmith, Brook Green or Chiswick in 10 minutes to find a huge amount to do and places to visit
So, your opinion is that London is a poop hole.. well, that’s your prerogative? Do you mind if I enquire where you live so I can make a judgement
