I've said for a couple of years that the Magic Weekend should be taken to London to try and increase publicity down South especially with the 2013 World Cup Coming up.
The RFL have said they are considering Manchester though which could be interesting |

The stadium is owned by the council though. I know they had the pitch relayed recently due to fears of it being erroded by overuse.
I suppose if the talk is true then it would make a lot of sense considering that MediaCity is being opened. But, if the RFL are trying to tap into the BBC at MediaCity, I suppose Magic would have to be for the CC Quarters as the BBC have the rights to this. It would also be close season for the wendyball lot, so they might be more inclined to let us in. |
