| Lets be honest, even if we win by a hundred who cares?
We will never win an international trophy by being able to beat PNG.
Do feel a bit sorry for the players this weekend though because they are damned if they do and damned if they dont.

| I don't feel sorry for the players. They're paid to do a job and they're not doing it.

| I agree, they made great strides in only managing to concede 70 points against New Zealand last week...
This is the game PNG will have targeted as providing them with the most realistic chance of victory. England are going to have to be on their game or they could be in for a shock.

Like they did in the 2008 World Cup you mean? Behind at half time and winning by ten points in the end.

| Wouldn't surprise me if England put a cricket score past PNG. The pressures off, its the last game of the series, they will feel disappointed and as though they underachieved, and need to restore a bit of pride as well as assert their positions for next year's 4N's.
Having said that it also wouldn't surprise me if its a tougher game for England and the gap in the scores is narrower. I would be surprised if England lost though.
Considering the circumstances I think Fatnamara would do well to have a word with his five best and most senior players and ask them what they think the line up should be and pick something based on that, rather than keeping all the decisions to himself. That way England can play around with the line up and move folk out of positions only if they are comfortable and it allows Fatnamara to take a little step back and view the lads playing together.

The PNG team is a mile away from that side and England have had a couple of tough warm up games and aren't playing in the tropics.
It's nothing like 2008 and we'll whip them.

what it will show is how much in the comfort zone players in SLE are.

Fair assessment is that, for me it will also bring together the two teams with the most similar styles of play. Lot of one man drives, quick play the balls, scoots from dummy half and the centres/wingers not getting a sniff of the ball.
England will win because they are physically bigger.....thats about it
