which other sports hand pick teams to promote and relegate against criteria that can be changed to suit their choices,
any examples ?

| Quote: binks "Have you ever thought the RFL have watched the news and realized there is a recession ?? and then maybe taken the decision that consolidation was needed rather than bankruptcy of the sport just to get new shiny stadias.
I genuinely believe the game needs time to settle again, time to focus on improving the overall product and the international game, not closing the door on areas that are doing ok just they don't have enough seats or cover.'"
as was said earlier, supporters go to watch what happens on the field and not to admire the plastic seats.
the simple fact is that no rl team can afford to build a quality stadium without outside help. even in the good times there is simply not enough money in our game.
how many teams have any assets now compared to 20years ago when most owned their own grounds?
the game is becoming very nomadic

That's the thing cc us the fans don't care about stadiums , both Belle Vue and Wheldon Rd are fine for the use they being used for
Your relegation match against Cas could have seen either of you refused back into SL , in fact ( and this is me with my ' conspiracy theory ' hat on ) I believe that if it was Wakey that had gone down , you would already be in the Championship , IMO the RFL felt guilty over the W1g4n salary cap fiasco and changed the rules as recompense

| im pretty sure no truly new teams have ever been added to the NFL. they have all been mergers and moves of existing teams/founder members.

| Games fooked, dress it up as much as you like, switch on the tv all you see is empty grounds at international and domestic level and the best thing is super league are giving any season tickets at next to nothing and still can't fill the grounds
good luck with the de valuing of the game with ever decresing season ticket prices,at this rate they will be letting them in for nothing and still not filling the grounds
but as long as a handul of clubs are happy spending a ever skrinking tv deal then thats fine
we will wander off and die quietly in the cornor if thats alright with you lot
please tell me who are these clubs and business falling over themselves to form new teams in new parts of the country, come on name them?
keep chopping at the roots and you may find you lot may fall out of your lofty perches up that tree when it topples

Celtic Crusaders were allowed into SL playing at BREWERY FIELD by the RFL
You really are making a good attempt at being a total pillock'"
Speaking of pillocks, I know you are well aware that Crusaders were also allowed in to SL playing in Brewery Field on a short-term basis with a view to new stadium, as were Cas and Wakefield.

except they dont go, Thats part of the problem.
There seems to be a direct correllation between the quality of stadia and attendances, they go up when they are better. When it is crap they are smaller.

thats why Wakefield and Castleford have such fantastic attendances. I mean its not like they are surrounded by clubs in better stadiums with better attendances is it?
Oh!

The Seahawks, The Bucs, the Jaguars and the Panthers were all added to the league as genuine expansion sides and not as the result of a merger or movement of an existing club.

Yet attendances in this era are higher than at any other time
Quote: jesus-is-coming "good luck with the de valuing of the game with ever decresing season ticket prices,at this rate they will be letting them in for nothing and still not filling the grounds'"
Yet attendances are still higher.
Quote: jesus-is-coming "but as long as a handul of clubs are happy spending a ever skrinking tv deal then thats fine'" Yet the TV deal is worth more.
Quote: jesus-is-coming "we will wander off and die quietly in the cornor if thats alright with you lot'" Quietly?????? Bloody Hell.
Quote: jesus-is-coming "please tell me who are these clubs and business falling over themselves to form new teams in new parts of the country, come on name them?'" Wales, London, Perpignan, Toulouse.
Quote: jesus-is-coming "keep chopping at the roots and you may find you lot may fall out of your lofty perches up that tree when it topples'" Yet the lower leagues get more money and exposure than ever before. Strange idea of chopping at the roots you have.

| Quote: vikingsmurf "In answer to your question about how teams get into the NFL, richie as best i can tell its a closed shop. 'new' teams seem to have only ever been formed by the merger of existing ones, it doesnt seem that truly 'new' teams have ever been admitted.'"
All additions have been brand new teams, or moves of other teams. I don't believe there have been any mergers, apart from some temporary ones in WW2.
The point is teams don't play their way into the league by winning a different league.
Do you think their fans decry their sport as having no credibility because of this?
